FINE GOURMET DELI — Local services in Melbourne

I'll start with a line from the "blues brothers": This place has got everything! I've been to a lot of deli shops around Melbourne, and this is one has some of the greatest varieties of goods, most notably from the countries of the former soviet union, including Armenia, which I don't think I've seen before. Although they don't sell my favourite spread, nutkao, I was quite amazed with the choice - most impressive was the selection of herbal teas.

The only reason I didn't give them all 5 stars was aesthetic - a large crate i in front of the shop was somewhat blocking the view and making it difficult to move around. However, that is still a minor objection, and I still highly recommend it! From now on, it will be my stop number one for...

This is my favorite shop in Bentleigh. If you are a fan of Russian, Baltic, or Polish food, this is the place to go. I enjoy getting my European groceries here. All the usual suspects - vodka, caviar, cognac, etc - have an incredible selection of Eastern European and Russian goodies. A great range of pickles, olives, cheeses, chebureki, and others. European chocolate, candies, and traditional babka are just like how Grandma used to make it, as well as a treasure trove of jars of soups, stews, salads, and more. The list goes on.
