As Richmond locals we were really excited to try this place and had high hopes. It's a cute spot however lacked the atmosphere you expect of a wine bar on entry. We were served by a brunette lady who was really informative, friendly and warm which picked us up a bit. The wine was great (albeit on the pricey side but we are in Richmond) and the stools were really comfortable. There's a great array of wines to buy and take home or drink in ($10 corkage). However the blonde lady behind the bar was having an extremely loud conversation with a friend at the bar (about Google reviews funnily enough) which just echoed through the place and pierced through our conversation. Read moreWhat a very pleasant surprise. My wife and I found ourselves here on a lovely Saturday afternoon. We enjoyed a beautiful cheese platter and mulled wine. I'm not a big drinker but my wife is a huge mulled wine fan. Hands down the mulled wine at Atlas Vinifera is the best mulled wine we have ever tasted. The owner was very friendly and knowledgeable and made us feel like we were her only customers. She was fantastic. We asked about some vino Verde which we had had in Portugal, and the lady was able to find a suitable substitute. Over the atmosphere was very relaxed, with a real old charm.
