Augustus Gelatery + Acai Werribee — Restaurant in Melbourne

I am honestly appalled at the service I received tonight 29/11. Firstly- the young girl who claimed to be the “manager” told my 7 & 8 year old daughters off for leaning on and touching the glass when choosing their flavour because “it is common sense to not touch the glass and most people know not to do it” … they are children in a Gelatery, not sure what she was expecting…. And if that wasn’t bad enough, while choosing our flavours I pointed out to the girl serving me that there were bugs in the ice cream (quite literally dead bugs that had flown into the gelato display and got stuck) in at least 4 of the flavours. She looked at the “manager” who told her to scoop the bugs out. I stood there and watched her scooping the dead bugs off the ice cream with the intention to continue to sell those flavours. When questioned about this, her response “well I can’t just throw out the sorbet” ummm you absolutely can & thats exactly what should have been done.
