Super aesthetic and cute on a day with great weather. We went there for lunch and were seated undercover but also with a lot of sunlight. Perfect seating spot. The service was great but very frequently came up to us. The servers were very nice and helpful. The food. Honestly it wasn't anything special. The one main thing of note is that the cost of the food definitely does not align with the portion size. If compared to similar restaurants that boast an Asian fusion kind of cuisine, the dishes here are extremely underwhelming. We got the pad Thai, massaman curry, barramundi, sashimi, chicken bao and rice. The curry was fine but there was little meat surrounded by a couple of potatoes with a curry base that had too many solid pieces of spices. Ground spices would've been a better choice. The sashimi was delicious with the basil oil being so flavourful and the added textures were a delight. The barramundi came as a fillet in some broth. This broth was delicious and clear and the barramundi was cooked well. The barramundi didn't work too well with the rice as the broth was clear and too runny to be eaten in those plates. The pad thai wasn't too bad but again it wasn't anything special and not what you would expect for the price point. We ordered drinks as well and the cocktails were great. Overall I don't think there was a wide variety of dishes to choose from. I probably wouldn't visit again but might try the feed me menu they do have. Just compared to other similar restaurants with literally the same menu, I wouldn't choose this place over the others.

We visited Bang Bang for a dinner catch up with friends and were surprised to see how unbelievably busy it was of a Monday night. The staff were very engaging but the attentiveness tended to taper off as the venue filled up. I enjoyed a lychee and lemongrass cocktail as we waited for the sharing style food to arrive. We ordered the betel leaf, calamari and satay chicken skewers from the small menu. I’m usually a huge fan of betel leaf but was a little skeptical of this one as it was a vegetarian creation. Needless to say they are definitely tastier with meat but it was certainly flavoursome. I enjoyed the calamari but found the skewers a little hot for my palette. The waitress helped us navigate the spice of the menu and recommended we steer clear of several dishes as their offering does lean towards the spicy side. Our main dishes were the beef short rib with coconut and cinnamon and Thai roasted chicken. My favourite was the beef but owing only to personal preference. We selected sides of roti and rice (outstanding roti) and she suggested we add the slaw and fries as well suited accompaniments. I’m not generally a fan of slaw and this one didn’t sway me but others at the table seemed to appreciate it. As for desserts we had the coconut creme brûlée and the five spiced apple turnover which were a pleasant way to end the meal but not a must order. The coconut was so subtle it was barely recognisable. Overall tasty food and a well styled venue in a very accessible location, quite a lot going for it it would seem

I’ve come here a few times now for dinner and I have enjoyed each time. Unfortunately I didn’t get a chance to take any photos as I’m always having a long awaited catch up but I can definitely vouch the food is delicious! It’s a nice space and the service is pretty quick and friendly. All their sauces are so tasty and go very well with the dishes! I would recommend for starters to get the kingfish sashimi (I always ask for extra sauce, it’s sooo good - tangy with a little bit of heat), the wontons (again the sauce is delish, also tangy & perfect with the wontons), & corn ribs. The popcorn cauliflower is hit & miss. Can be quite oily. The edamame definitely nice to have with your drinks while waiting for the dishes to come out. For mains the barramundi is cooked really well and the half duck is huge, I would order a side of baos to go with them. The pad Thai is a bit on the small side for a noodle dish. I would suggest a side of the papaya slaw which is the perfect accompaniment for the mains and the roti is a good side to mop up the sauces. For 2 people I would go for 3 starters, a main & 2 sides and you should be nicely satisfied. Not the most affordable place for Asian fusion. It costs around $170 with 2 cocktails plus have a surcharge of 10% at weekends. It is delicious though and I will be back again. Happy hour 4-6pm from Thursday onwards. Service is friendly, food comes out quick and it’s got a nice outdoor area for the sunnier days.

Arrived at 8.15pm on a Sunday evening after seeing a movie at the classic. We asked to view the menu and saw they had our fave dish tuna tartare and asked for a table. We were treated very poorly on arrival & we’re advised by a lady they were closing shortly. We advised if your happy to serve us quickly we are happy to order quickly. It was very clear by her rude and abrupt manner she was over the day. She proceeded to seat us at the bar which is high benches and stools and was completely empty. We asked if we could please be seated in the restaurant or outside which had quite a few full tables and was a lot more comfortable. She rolled her eyes and said ok. She Seated us gave us a menu and told us we have no tuna tartare tonight. At that point we were so shocked by the rudeness two of our party wanted to leave, but we all decided it was getting late let’s just eat quickly and leave. We had a new waitress allocated to us Gabby who was bubbly, polite and extremely professional. We ordered seven dishes to share and a cocktail and drinks. The prawn betel leaf was tiny but ok. We had a dozen oysters which were excellent. The French fries were excellent. The popcorn chicken was ok. Ribs were ok. Salmon was cooked perfectly but the salad was literally inedible as there was too much fresh chilli. Got the bill went to pay and saw we had been charged completely different prices than were on the menu. When we asked about it they said there is a 10% surcharge on sundays. We asked where on the menu or anywhere in the restaurant does it say that. We were told this is new and has only just been added to the website. We won’t be back. Riverland group you can do better. Several members of our family work in food and beverage. We eat out a lot. We rarely give...
