I have rarely taken the time to write reviews, but my experiences at this bar compel me to warn others about the egregiously rude service I encountered not once, but twice. On my initial visit, I was greeted not with a welcome, but with hostility. Due to an easily overlooked and minuscule sign at the entrance—a detail many seem to miss according to numerous reviews—I unwittingly made a minor misstep. Instead of receiving a courteous correction, I was subjected to a public reprimand by a waiter. This individual's approach to customer service was shockingly aggressive, utterly lacking in professionalism or basic decency.
Hoping my first encounter was an anomaly, I gave the establishment a second chance. Regrettably, my return visit was no improvement. Approaching the same waiter with a simple, polite question, I was met yet again with an astonishing display of rudeness. This wasn't just poor service; it was an outright dismissal of the very principles of hospitality.
It's bewildering and deeply disappointing that such behavior is tolerated and repeated. A bar, a place meant for relaxation and enjoyment, managed to create an environment so unwelcoming, it left me appalled. The fact that this waiter's demeanor remains unchecked, despite clearly being a recurring issue, speaks volumes about the establishment's disregard for its patrons' experiences.
To those considering a visit: reconsider. There are countless other venues where your business and presence will be appreciated and respected. It's a shame that a potentially enjoyable location is soured by such unnecessary and unacceptable hostility. Do not subject yourself to this level of disrespect. It's not just disappointing; it's utterly...
Read moreArrived here last night around 11, to a very unpleasant waiter (one could only assume the same as the previous review.) We were sat out the front in a group of 6 and had our order taken at the table and waited around 10 minutes for 4 beers and 2 cocktails to be delivered to our table. After this we had 2 other friends arrive, much to the displeasure of the wait staff. We ushered out the back onto a larger table after much discussion over how many people we had. During our walk to the back we were all very strongly reminded that there is absolutely no smoking out the back (the same rule that applied to our previous table out the front.) as we all went to leave and pay our bill, I politely asked if we were able to split our bill. The man behind the bar (same that had been unpleasant and argued about how many people we had) snapped back telling me they don’t split bills. Something that I felt would’ve been necessary to have been told at the beginning of our drinks as we would’ve moved on elsewhere. We were told to oh our bill and that we could sort it amongst ourselves.
If you would like to go somewhere with nice service and fair drink prices, I would avoid this bar at all costs. Very much a shame as the bar could have been so pleasant. My suggestion would be to find...
Read moreThis was the perfect place to stumble upon when you are jonesing for a late night feed and a well made drink! Huge selection of drinks, and the kitchen is open late with a great selection of food! And I really appreciated a good mocktail selection, being pregnant I just wanted to feel like I could treat myself to a fancy drink. The server was very knowledgeable with the drink choices, even the mocktails. I ordered a Negroni Mocktail, and it was everything I wanted it to be! Gave me some semblance of normalcy. My husband had a cafe tequila with a very interesting history which the server explained to us. It's wonderful to see people so passionate about what they do and what they serve to their patrons. They really care about your experience here, and it shows in everything they do. I'm honestly very impressed. For food, we ordered the chicken burger and the raclette cheese starter. Both were amble, delectable, and decently priced. Food and drink, great. Service, superb. Atmosphere, hip and fun without any pretentiousness. Just an honestly great experience and a happy memory...
