Booked for a Saturday brunch for 2 people - 11am. It was definitely starting to pick up so I recommend booking. The menu is asian fusion - the meals good enough to share. There are also so many unique drinks on this menu, it was so hard to choose! My friend and I ordered the bao buns, dumplings, the “lost in japan” and a side of waffle fries. We each ordered a drink as well - he had the taro iced brew, and I had the “Holiday” smoothie. I spent about $60 paying for the smoothie, the dumplings, and the “lost in japan”. I estimate he paid around the same + a little more for the remainder of what we ordered.
The quality of the food is insane. From the way it’s served to the actual flavour of the meal. The dumplings came with a chilli oil which came in a little pour jug separate from the dish. It was good as we were able to pick how much we wanted on our dumplings. The “Lost in Japan” also came with a sauce and this was also in a pour cup. The bao buns were so good - the mix of crunch from the chicken, the softness of the bao bun and the flavours of the ginger mixed with the sauce was incredible. The lost in japan was my favourite though - the combination of everything went so well together.
There is plenty of seating inside (2 levels), and also outside seating. Food came very quickly and staff were really accommodating and nice. Parking wise - all street. But easy enough in Brighton with the train stations and parking areas around.

Read moreOh my gosh, this place is so cute! One can seriously appreciate the effort toward aesthetics at Brighton Soul; the venue is groovy and the meals are all so creative looking when they arrive at your table. It’s quite a shame though, the taste of the food unfortunately does not match how well it appears on plate. Today I had tried their Ramen - knowing well that it was going to cost me $25, I had expected something that did not match the substantiality of two-minute noodles. There had been a plethora of issues regarding the dish; first being that the broth tasted like ordinary hot water, pork meat over cooked (dry), noodles were too chewy. Given that Brighton Soul’s menu possesses a host of Japanese dishes and cuisine, expectations may have been more grand whilst dining there. To conclude this review, I’d recommend that one absolutely dine here, just don’t order the order the ramen, it’s a waste of money and sadly tastes like a sad bowl of hot salty water.
P.s I found the staff to be downright annoying in the end, soon as I walked in I had three seperate waitresses in the space of 15 seconds tell me that the courtyard is booked out.. it was just like okay.. chill tf out I get it! The courtyard is obviously booked people! I’d suggest a more welcoming entrance and improvement toward...
