Lovely open air venue opposite āLandcox Parkā. Welcoming BYO dogs also. Ordered the āAncient Grain Saladā for $17.50- consisting of the following ingredients- Brown Rice; Quinoa; Broccoli; Asparagus; Feta; Beetroot with Lemon dressing; & Roasted Almonds. Trouble was, there was no Quinoa ( only Brown Rice), No asparagus, Minuscule amount of Feta ( had to really search for the 2mm pieces; and absolutely no Roasted Almonds. You can notice the before & after photos, when I mentioned that the dish was āmissing ingredientsā. A much stronger fresh Lemon dressing is also needed on the Beetroot. Over all a nice salad selection, but why should I have to remind the waitress & chef of missing ingredients? 3/5 is generous for this review. The whole meal was also a moderate to small but not generous size. Hopefully next time I go back, I will receive what I paid for? Second photos show the added Roasted Almonds & Fetaā¦.My Berry Soy Smoothie was...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI came here today for a work meeting and I regret it. From the moment we were seated, the manager (maybe?) came up to us 3 times asking us to move. First to move inside so another person can sit where we are seated, even though this other person said they were okay to sit inside, the guy insisted. Then he came back and asked us to move over a seat each so we could create more space on the table. It was just getting frustrating. He didnāt even approach politely, for example, āhi excuse me, sorry to interrupt, is it okay if you are able to move here pleaseā. We were having an important conversation and he just didnāt care!! šµāš« very rude!!
The cafe itself was okay appearance wise, the food was nice, and the loose leaf chai could have been elevated with a small side of honey. I wonāt be returning to this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGreat location for a Cafe opposite Landcox Park but I'm fascinated to know what this place was before it was a Cafe. The bathroom has the original tiles and terrazzo style flooring from the 1950's? Whereas Cafe itself modern so what was it? Anyway lots of interesting choices, husband had omelette, I hadavocado on toast with a side of houlami and when I asked if I could get eggs separately, as I don't eat, was asked if I wanted scrambled tofu instead, yes, perfect! We also had coffees (flat whites and soy lattes) and I brought takeaway their spanakopita. Place doesn't have a lot of seating and when we were there, a lot of the tables had reserved signs on them, so we were lucky...
