Bying a new Samsung galaxy s20 ultra on a plan or outright.
March 5 last day for getting the phone with the free earbuds, bying the phone outright i could get it the next day and after talking the to sales person he convinced me to change my prepaid to a telstra plan with phone so he arranged the contract with telstra. All done you think and then he said the phone will be delivered trough telstra and I was a bit amazed about that because he didn't said that upfront and I made that clear, said that he has to say that before he made the contract so I knew there would be a delay to get the phone. Made this clear to the manager Jeff and they gave me a good deal on a charger and cover.
March 6 after hours. Still didn't received a confirmation for the connection yet so I contacted telstra crowd support to see what was going on. The told me it was cancelled because a third ID was needed and I was advised to go to a telstra shop to do that.
March 7 (Saturday). Went to telstra store and found out that was only possible during working hours. Phone jb and asked why they didn't contacted me for the third ID and what to do next because I made the arrangement on time for the free earbuds. The girl on the phone said that she could arrange everything for me including the earbuds. Great i couldn't make it the same day to the store (home, store, home takes 2 hours) so I said I will come in on Monday (public holiday)
March 9. Left home 1600 and arrived 1700 at the store doors closed and security quard said they where already closed for business due to public holiday (1800 normal closing hour) and briefly explained but still couldn't go in.
March 10. Went to the store again and found out that the deal/telstra plan what was made on march 5 was not possible. The same same girl on the phone made sure that I still could get the same deal in a other format and after waiting 1,5 hour I was fixed (with new deal phone would come from one of the other jb stores). I asked for a manager again and the store manager came and told the full story what was happened and that I was not happy with it, she told me that she will talk with the persons involved and try to make an arrangement.
March 13. Went to store again to pick up my new phone. The only thing was they couldn't release it to me because it was not connected to my plan, so the same girl arranged that the phone was connected to the plan and that took a hour plus again and the she was looking for the free earbuds. I still needed a sd card, screen protector what I forgot to get on the first day so I asked for the manager Jeff again if he could make a nice deal again due to the time I have lost multiple times in the store, his response was that he already gave me a really good deal on the first day. (So that would cover all issues in feature?) So he only gave a small discount and I had to be happy that they arranged the free earbuds for me. ( ??that was a promotion until march 5 free earbuds) Told Jeff that I didn't need the sd card any more because I was not spending more money a this store.
Oh they couldn't find the earbuds so they had to take it from the store stock.
And they didn't knew anything what I said to the store manager when I asked i they talked to here.
And home I saw the note from Jeff.
First and last time I bought a phone on a plan at jb hi...
Read moreWhat absolute stars! Brad in click and collect is a service legend. I desperately needed a second monitor for my work and training/compliance as my laptop is too small to run teams and utilise spreadsheets and programs at the same time while working from home. They have a sale on currently and the monitor I wanted was in my price range at great value for $191. The closest store was Brighton and I live in Cranbourne - so was going to drive down straight after work to collect. Brad rang me within half hour of placing my order to let me know that out of the three items I ordered, the monitor was the only item not in stock. I asked him to help me find another similar monitor in my price range as I used a gift card. Brad put me on a brief hold after explaining the differences in products to me while I was wondering what to do as everything else was at least an additional $50. I asked to see if the could move anymore on price as I was driving down to collect the item. Brad came back and said - “I’ve spoken to my manager, and because we didn’t have it in stock and the website said it did, we are going to give you the 27” at no extra charge!” WOW!!!! Really?!? Simply exceeded my expectations as a customer. Brad was friendly, knowledgeable, fast and solved my urgent problem with no fuss whatsoever. I am so happy I chose to order from JB instead of other sellers of monitors because that service is second to none. Thanks to Brad (please recognise him, his efforts and knowledge) but also the leadership team for understanding. I will be talking about this for a long time to come. In today’s market - JBHIFI Brighton really nailed service and I can get my items before tomorrow which saves the rest of my week. THANK YOU!!!! (1hr turn around from order to finalise order including my issue...
Read moreOne of early reviews was this exact store, what surprised me the most was the amount of views that those pics had amassed. And don't get me wrong I'm grateful to everyone who has viewed my pics and I hope that were helpful. Back to JB hi-fi, from the first time I visited their very first store in Keilor back when it was strictly music and video/DVD it was the bomb. For someone who lived only for music and film it was candy store. Race to now and you can buy phone, anything to do with sound making it, playing it or listening to it. Throw in visual and you have fitted 50% of the most important 2 things anyone needs. Not only just 2 important mediums hello PC and laptop and all the peripherals that are required to make the net a reality. And not to be left behind JB introduced white goods so you have purchased let's say 70% of your household. Rather reminds me of a cooler Harvey Norman 🤣🤣. It would be better if they adopt a great after sale customer service but I haven't been lucky enough to find out yet. It's a store that if you love music, TV, computer and laptops, audio, scouters and DVD still the best place to be. I left computer and laptops because they do have a better selection than other stores but there's 2 other stores that specialise in providing what JB did once upon a time exclusive service in music and film, they do it for everything that is computers, laptops, gaming, networking and hardware. Finishing off I walked away with 6 or 8 CD's and still like spending time in...
