We had an absolutely wonderful experience at this restaurant. The food was outstanding—every dish was delicious and beautifully prepared. The service was impeccable; the staff was incredibly kind, attentive, and took the time to explain each dish to us in detail, showcasing their deep knowledge and passion. Dinner with my partner & 2 kids for a special occasion and what a little gem of a place this is. Cosy space with friendly attentive service and top quality produce. We shared 7 dishes from the interesting & sensibly sized menu and were not disappointed with a single dish. A special of chargrilled calamari was an absolute highlight (hard to remember better calamari - kids agreed) & chargrilled beef skewers, pork belly bao, kingfish, teriyaki salmon - all fantastic. Have eaten here several times so the review is boy based on a single experience. In short very very good . All of the cooked food is excellent. Name the dish. The ribs. The outstanding corn. The donburi dishes with onsen eggs. Sashimi small but very fresh. Gyoza wonderful. Beer better than wine generally. Nowhere in Brighton rates as a cheap eat. Need to go to footscray for that.
