Overall this location served its purpose as a moderately priced apartment providing accommodation for a weary traveller. Upon arrival reception seemed a little bit muddled and the check in process could have been simplified. Particularly the process requiring guests to supply their registration number and mobile phone number which I guess is a form of protection for the apartment complex themselves but perhaps clarify this when people are investigating the apartments at the online booking stage.

The room/ apartment itself, basic but comfortable and furnished modestly. A comfortable queen size bed again did what was needed but it seemed like the linens were a little basic. I understand that with apartments such as these there's probably a high level of traffic/ so to have things such as an actual duvet cover and quality blankets might be pushing it but perhaps something to consider.

Shower/ bathroom again adequate although a little cramped with the washing machine in the bathroom as well. Good shower 🚿 good pressure and temperature, however, the light and fan going off in the middle of one's shower was a bit disconcerting, as that doesn't seem normal. I thought perhaps the light was on a timer , or perhaps there was a blackout?? Turns out that a circuit breaker was tripped ?? , something to investigate.

Now the location, not great the busy end of Bay St closer to the Nepean hwy and the signage displayed wasn't exactly clear when trying to locate the place in the dark. Furthermore, the entrance driveway was a little bit narrow, okay if you have a small vehicle but if you have anything larger, creative driving and manoeuvres are required. So again if you are seeking clean basic moderately priced accommodation for a short period then that's what you will find at the Brighton Serviced apartments, however if you are seeking something a little bit more sumptuous and welcoming then expand the scope of your...

There are significant health and safety concerns with Brighton Serviced Apartments, and despite raising the matter polite and frankly with the management, we have been dismissed. If I could give the accommodation less than one star, I would.

Please see pictures below:

-Roof leaking

-Pet hair around furniture

-Bed chewed through by an animal

extremely stained carpet

rubbish left from previous occupants

microwave and oven filthy

cupboards and drawers contained previous occupant rubbish

Black mould in shower

It is not possible to capture the stench of vomit and cigarettes smoke prevalent throughout the residence. The property as a whole is a work site, and there are loose building materials (eg screws, renovation landfill) littered across the common areas.

We had organised a late check in. However, we requested to return the room and refund immediately upon inspection on arrival. The caretaker advised this was not possible. We returned the keys to the caretaker irrespective.

Another booking who arrived as were leaving advised that they had missing carpet in their room and that their roof was stained and mould covered stained areas.

These conditions are not acceptable for occupancy, particularly with young children.

At additional expense and inconvenience, we were forced to make alternative arrangements across town, as it was quite late at night. Not everyone is as lucky. No one should be forced to occupy rooms in these conditions.

We returned on Sunday to request our booking fund back, after receiving nil response via phone. We observed the manager actively renovating the rooms. It is clear that the room should not have been offered for occupancy at all.

The manager then advised that he was unable to make refunds due to a 48-hour cancellation policy. I contend that this is not an issue of cancellation, but that the property never should have been...

Highly Disappointed – Unacceptable Cleanliness and Maintenance Issues Rating: 1/5 Stars (Disappointed)

I am writing to express my profound disappointment with my recent stay at the Brighton Serviced Apartments. The condition of the apartment I was allocated was unacceptable and significantly detracted from what should have been a comfortable stay. The apartment was alarmingly dirty. Specifically: Kitchen: The kitchen area was visibly greasy and lacked basic cleanliness. Furthermore, the range/cooktop was not only non-functional but was also extremely dirty, suggesting a complete lack of proper inspection or cleaning before my arrival. Bathroom: The bathroom was severely affected by mold, which is a major health and hygiene concern that should be addressed immediately by management. Carpets: The carpets throughout the apartment were very dirty and stained, contributing to an overall unhygienic environment.

There was noise of repairs until 10 pm the day of my arrival.

The next morning I was also informed that I could not access my first-floor room from 10:30 am due to roof repairs being carried out on Unit 16.

While unexpected maintenance can occur, this added an unnecessary layer of disruption and poor communication to the start of my stay.

Given the premium paid for a serviced apartment, the level of cleanliness and maintenance was entirely unsatisfactory. I strongly advise potential guests to consider these serious issues before booking.

I was also charged EXTRA FOR LATE CHECK OUT!

And had to ask the housekeeper to stop waiting OUTSIDE MY ROOM WITH HER BUCKET, an hour ahead of...

I’m not normally one to write reviews but DO NOT STAY HERE!!! From the moment we walked into the room we could tell what we were in for… To say this is the dodgiest and most unhygienic place we have ever stayed in is a complete understatement!!! When we arrived we were told our room would be ready at 2:30pm however it looked like someone had only just started cleaning. As we had to get ready for a function we just got ready in the unfinished rooms. When we came home from the function the place still hadn’t been fully cleaned!! As we only chose this place for the convenience of distance to a function we were attending we just stayed the night. But we were out of there ASAP the next morning!! This place is a complete occupational health and safety hazard.. - Dog hair and stains all over the carpet - greasy and dirty kitchen. - Pizza left in the microwave from previous occupants. - Shower head didn’t work. - Bin wasn’t emptied from previous occupants. - We found alcohol rub and needle injection dots on the bathroom floor. The fact we paid $285 for this is absolutely appalling. Do yourself a favour and save your money.
