I should have kept on walking , sucked in by the cute exterior and promise of espresso coffee! With display of beans from across the globe. I asked the barista what was on offer today and she gave me a blank stare back... I explained how I was curious of where the beans hailed from, if it's single origin or a blend. She had no idea and the look on her face made me think walk away but the waitress walking by overheard me and cheerfully explained today's blend was from Columbia and to take a seat they will bring out my espresso... 5 minutes go by, I pop my head up to see what is this barista doing she motions to me it's coming. Another 5 minutes and it's still not there. Noone has come over to my table to even offer me water. I went back to the register and asked for a refund They hadn't even started my coffee. There was only a few other patrons in the cafe The attitude of the barista was horrible Considering they advertise as an espresso speciality it was so disappointing to have a fraud work the machine I won't ever know if the coffee is any good but honestly wouldn't be suprised to see it for lease in the future if they serve other customers like they did me. Perhaps I was unlucky and they will get rid of her. In Melbourne we are spoilt for espresso and I love when you get the little card with the beans story and a shot of sparkles to top off the experience. If you want none of these things and potentially nothing at all. Then this is the...
Read moreWe chose “Little Sister” cafe for a post-walk coffee break on Sunday morning. Bay St in the heart of Brighton It is a friendly cafe with a pleasant atmosphere. Generally, cafes in this area have a warm atmosphere and pleasant dialogue. Especially the hospitality between cafe employees and customers stands out. I think we couldn't find this temperature, probably because it was early on Sunday morning. The young lady who helped us while placing our coffee orders took our orders very kindly and politely. Particularly thanking such kindnesses and attaching importance to the service provided is very valuable for motivation. Due to our sensitivity about coffee, the presentation and temperature of our coffees were below our expectations. The coffee and milk combination we desired left the quality below the drinkable limit due to the temperature. The barista's attention to every order is the most special reason why a cafe stands out. I request that such a beautiful cafe in such a beautiful place pay particular attention to the quality of its coffee. Still, I believe that such local cafes should be supported. Respect and thanks to those who...
Read moreHonestly the food was nice. But we had an extremely horrible experience with service. I ordered a SOY babycino for my son who is allergic to dairy but we were given a cow's milk babycino and he had a severe allergic reaction and started vomiting and his whole face and neck had a rash. He is 1.5 years old. 😭
When I asked the waitress about it, she was nice to apologize but the whole time during his vomiting, they quickly made another soy babycino and threw it at our table while he was vomiting with no help at all.
Luckily there was a chemist warehouse across the street that I could quickly run over to get some meds. Even after giving him his meds, it took another 20-30 mins before his rash would calm down and he was back to himself again.
And no one even came to ask if he was ok? Do we need help etc? They took the babycino off the bill of course but honestly what is that?! I had to buy a bottle of meds that cost $20.
I honestly think a mix up like this is extremely unprofessional, especially with so many people having so many allergies these days. I hate to think what if he had gone anaphylaxis. These are children we are...
