The foods served here are the best of its kind! You won't be able to get a better deal anywhere else! All the foods served taste authentic and are game changers in terms of the market. The juicy, succulant, delicious and tender pork had me coming back almost everyday! Just looking at the food is already enough to make me hungry, and the smell is on a whole 'nother level. With it's blooming aroma and a fragrance that blossoms, it's no surprise that a single whiff is all it takes before you bow down on your knees! But that's not all! The atmosphere is very uplifting and it's the effect that is especially amplified when eating with your mates! The prices are too good to be true, as you get generous proportions! On top of all of that, the waitresses and the chefs are very friendly and approachable. The food is enough to make the top competitors in the food industry pale in comparison! The presentation is vivid and makes an everlasting impression on the customer like myself! With the sides and main meal placed strategically in order to make you feel at ease! Overall, this restaurant is one you should never pass up on, as that is a grave mistake that you'll 100% regret, which is something I've been a victim of, which let me tell you, is not pleasent considering what there is to be served! I would 100% recommend this to anyone looking for a place to...
Read morefinally decided to try this place out as i was still mourning the loss of tra vinh i’m footscray. ordered what used to be my favourite dish and it was kinda average. it was the owners attitude that really threw me off every coming back. a couple who came in midway through my meal wanted the dish i was having and communicated so in english (i assume they weren’t vietnamese) . the owner blatantly lied saying i ordered number 8 when i actually ordered number7 (two different dishes and types of noodles). i initially didn’t hear the conversation but the person i was with did and signalled to me. i then turned around and said to the couple i actually ordered number 7. the owner then shouts at me in vietnamese “i’m trying to sell them egg noodles why are you telling them you got glass noodles”. i was baffled! why does it matter which dish your customer orders? another customer witness this and said to me he’s “shit stirring” and after the owner realised he came over to my table and tried to downplay the situation saying how he was just “joking”. either way joking or not it was super unprofessional to lie to a customer what dish as well at shouting at another customer, with no apology given afterwards.
safe to say i’d rather travel an extra 20 minutes to tra vinh at albans than visit this place...
Read moreRecommended by one of my colleagues as a place serving a unique dish to Vietnam, I headed to Co Tham Can Tho for #15 Bun mam - Rice vermicelli with salted fish soup. In winter such dishes are perfect for the weather.
I also got Vietnamese ice coffee (white is with the condensed milk, black with sugar) which is a personal favourite and so delicious.
A huge bowl of soup is served. Before adding anything I have a taste. A subtle seafood flavour with a touch of sourness makes for an interesting broth with a complexity of flavour. Add the beansprouts in for some crunch along with shredded cabbage and mint for more flavour. Make sure to fish out the delicious pieces of pork belly with crunchy crackling before it goes soggy. The salted spicy fish mixture in the small bowl carries a nice punch which the soup needs so toss it in and swirl around. After devouring about half I decided to amp up the sourness with a squeeze of lime for a nice touch of acidity. The tender pieces of fish, prawns and soft vermicelli noodles make for a hearty and very filling winter warmer of a dish. Satisfying meal to power me through the weekend.
