Cramers Hotel — Restaurant in Melbourne

If I could give the food no stars I would. Came in with the family, We ordered 2 parmas, and a schnitzel. All which were the exact same size, which I believe are frozen or bought pre made than frozen. My mum ordered the "Roast of the day" which was like leather. When complained about it, was told it was because it was yesterdays. Also came with 3 day old spuds and frozen veggies. My partner had the seafood basket, all frozen, tough and tasted really bad. And I ordered the steak sandwich, it had cold, very old caramelised onion, and tasted sour. Was drowning in oil and only filled the middle of the sandwich. The salad dressing on all the plates, looked very strange, and didn't taste very nice. We also had an entree calamari which was very Chewie and also frozen. When I complained about my steak sandwich and asked for a refund. I had to wait, around 15mins for Subhash the manager to give me the refund, only for him to tell me that no one complains about the food and I was wrong. I work in hospitality and this is no way to speak to a customer. I know frozen food when I see it and taste it. And I would never treat a customer the way he spoke to me. He didn't even apologise. We will never return for...

Staff here are great! Everyone from the Drive thru bottle Shop attendant to the venue manager are aprouchable, friendly and make a genuine to make everyone feel welcome. Often remembering the names of regular guests & they greet you with a smile soon after you arrive the staff kindly offer you a coffee or cold drink. Also there aren't as many reserve signs on vacant machines as there are in other venues. The food is affordable and cooked to perfection. Deserts are large servings and also reasonably priced. The venue is large and not cramped like some places. There is an outdoor seating area for smokers, a lounge to watch sports and the sound of the juke.box music from the sports bar fills the room, giving the environment a friendly & comfortable Feel. The only reason I did not. Give. Them a 5 star rating is the constant heat from the central heating is far too high. There were times I almost passed out from the above normal temperature of their venue. I love the warmth but 35°c is. Far too. Hot for any closed room. Especially a room filled. With machines that. Generate. Heat & other warm bodies. It is the flaw in this venues environment that drives even the most loyal Patron...
