Big Bang Roll Perfection
As I walked into Dan's Deli, the mouth-watering aroma of fresh deli meats and bread filled my nostrils. I was immediately transported back to my childhood, to a time when delis like this were at the heart of every community. And let me tell you, Dans Deli in Melbourne is one of the best delis I've had the pleasure of visiting in recent years.
While browsing the menu, I came across something called "The Big Bang Roll." At first glance, it looked like your typical deli sandwich, but once I took my first bite, I knew this was no ordinary sandwich. The roll was soft and chewy, with just the right amount of crust. The meats inside were sliced perfectly, so you could taste each and every flavor.
The Big Bang Roll is not for the faint of heart. It's loaded with flavor, and the combination of ingredients is out of this world. I could taste the ham, spicy salami, the tangy capsicums, the peppery rocket, and the creamy mayo all at once. It was like a symphony of flavors, with each bite building to a crescendo of taste explosions.
I have to give props to the team at Dan's Deli for crafting such a masterful creation. It's clear that they take pride in their work and put a lot of thought and care into every sandwich they make. The Big Bang Roll is the kind of sandwich that will leave you feeling satisfied for hours, and you'll be dreaming about it for days to come.
So if you find yourself in Melbourne, make sure you swing by Dan's Deli and order The Big Bang Roll. Trust me, you won't regret it. It's a flavor explosion that will leave you...

✔️ DFC Roll - Chicken could have been more crunchy and seasoned. Bun is satisfyingly soft. Kinda like a really good McChicken. 😂 ✔️ The Big Bang Roll - a deli roll with all best ingredients. The ciabatta roll didn’t have the hard crunchy exterior I was after. But they do get them in fresh daily. ✔️ Chips - they had their own spice blend on them, make sure you ask for without if you can’t handle spicy, it brings the heat! Could be crunchier. ✔️ Cookies - made in house. They aren’t overly sweet, they’re chewy and sort of taste like shortbread? ⭐️ Iced Tiger Eye Coffee - wow, I would get this every day if I could!!
We tried their top 2 best sellers, we enjoyed them and would try more of the menu. We hope to see some more options eventually in the future, soon they will be making their own bagels too!...
Read moreAbsolutely loved everything about Dan’s Deli! From the moment we walked in, the place had a welcoming vibe, friendly staff, and a menu that honestly over-delivered on every front.
We had: The Big Bang Roll ($17.99) - fresh & flavourful. The roll was packed & was really delish! Chicken Tenders Combo ($12.95) - crispy, juicy tenders with fries that were actually seasoned properly. Super satisfying when dipped into the tasty sauce. The Tiger Eye ($8)- it was like a Mont Blanc, topped with cold foam cream and a hint of zesty orange. Light, refreshing, and really well-balanced. Iced Matcha ($6.55) - smooth, not overly sweet, and had a good matcha flavour Nutella Cookie & Chocolate Chip Cookie ($5.99 each) - Indulgent cookies & they were huge.
