Came out all the way to Carlton for Harry Potter trivia and have been looking forward to it for quite some time. The host knew nothing about Harry Potter, said alot of words and names wrong, read out parts of answers as questions before correcting himself, asked questions with lengthy answers without providing adequate time to discuss answers with teammates before moving on, had his beard and lips pushed up on the microphone so his voice was muffled, read out our team name wrong during the night, read out scores during breaks not in order, and during the final reading of where everyone placed, our team was not even mentioned at all, so we never got to know our score. Alot of questions were way too simple and we spent days cramming information and revising. It was a fun night out with the family because we always have fun, but if you're going to host an event with such a big fan-base, it needs to be conducted in such a better manner than it was. Alot of the female bar staff also looked miserable and a hug from the host was offered as a prize which is...

Despite being clearly warned that there would be many customers coming to dine, the Queensberry Hotel was clearly not equipped to deal with busy service. The excuse “we have a hundred meals to make” doesn’t explain why only one out of five meals on our table didn’t arrive. 30 minutes after ordering, 4 meals had all been served and consumed, while the other had still not arrived. Over the next 30 minutes staff clearly ignored our 5+ attempts to check on the meal and lied to our face when they promised to check on it. One hour after ordering a meal finally came out - the wrong meal. The manager had terrible customer service skills and was nothing but rude and unsympathetic to our plight, offering zero consolation for this atrocious service. I would not recommend wasting your time here unless they are empty. Maybe if you’re the only customers in the venue they’ll be able to handle getting your simple cheeseburger out in a reasonable time and without making you feel offended...

On a walk back to our apartment while on holiday we found this place we tried few burgers and liked it enough to come back the following night.

The food that came to our table ,porterhouse steak, BBQ wings, steak sandwich and chicken burger, was the best food we have ever experienced the time and effort in making the food really looked like something you would see posted on a menu and the taste was actually too good to be true.

When ever we are in Melbourne from Perth again we will definetly be coming back here they almost don’t charge enough for the quality of food they provide $120 for family of 5 to eat out is very good value.

Thankyou so much to that staff for making our experience so great and to the chef’s for cooking the...

Came in on a Monday for the $20 pub classic meals. Only to find out after waiting an hour to order that this deal doesn’t actually apply to all their pub classics meals listed on their menu. It’s DOES NOT say this anywhere on their website or physical menus but it only applies to the items under $28 which if you’re after a Parma or a steak (the only decent things on the menu) you’re paying the full price. This is scummy business and false advertising. Food was okay but the new management should kindly pass the business on to someone else. Won’t be coming back. The beers were also way too expensive

After a long roadtrip, we went in only for a beer, but the coziness and the kind crew made us want to dine here, the music was outstanding and on the right volume, you can hear people on your table but not the other tables, the food is tasty and delicious... But it took ages to arrive and we where exhausted, they explained to us that their cheff resigned in the middle of the night... I might come back, hoping for a good timeframe from the kitchen. I recommend the Hotel to compensate costumers in some way when this kind of unexpected situations happen.

Easter Sunday dropped in for a quick lunch. Quiet day customers-wise with Australian boxer Kostya Zhu on the TV fighting for something. The boys were really getting into the fight! As it was my first visit, decided on the Pie of the Day, Moroccan Chicken and Chickpea with potato mash and green beans. It was flavourful and a decent sized serving. 10/10 For dessert, off the Daily Specials menu, Chocolate Pudding with chocolate sauce and cream from a spraycan. It was OK.
