Booked for a Sunday 11:45am for 2 people.
Parking is a nightmare around the area - just a heads up. Flovie staff were nice enough to let us sit for our reservation despite being 15 minutes late.
Aesthetically, itās beautifully set up with floral arrangements everywhere you look. I wish I had taken more photographs of the location but it was packed with people. I definitely recommend booking in advance.
Itās a small place - so noise wise it was incredibly loud. I couldnāt hear my friend talking across from me. We were seated next to a large group and it seemed like our table was split as we had no QR code or table number so they gave us a QR code and referenced a table number. When the food was starting to arrive staff couldnāt tell if we ordered it or if it was the table next to us. Would have helped if we could put Table 102A and Table 102B for example.
The food was pretty average to be honest. We ordered Big Brekkieās - my friendsā mushrooms were served a bit cold and her bacon was also a bit undercooked compared to mine (or not as cooked as she would have liked) - otherwise it was fine. Drinks were probably the standouts on their menu. I ordered the Snow White and my friend ordered the Princess Peach Lychee Latte. Definitely presented nicely. There were theatrical aspects to some or their drinks - for example mixing in the purple dye in the Snow White drink (which I forgot to picture!) flavour wise though, I donāt recommend the Snow White. There was a nice tasting syrup on the bottom but the majority of it just tasted like sparkling water.
Overall I felt it was an average experience. Price wise we spent about $30-40 each. I probably would only come back to try some other drinks but...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWorst cafe me and my partner have ever been to. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE AESTHETIC.
Upon arriving, we were greeted then pointed to our table (not walked). We waited 20 minutes to be acknowledged and ordered a Latte, matcha latte, āsmashedā avo delight and ābigā breakfast.
After 15 minutes of waiting, we received our coffees. My matcha latte was COLD and the latte was bitter and tasted like a coles express coffee. My partner finished both coffees before our meals arrived to the table (I didnāt like the taste of my matcha).
10 minutes later, my partners ābigā breakfast arrived. The ābigā breakfast was very underwhelming consisting of cold mushrooms, almost raw tomatoes, one tiny plain piece of sour dough bread, sliced avo (not smashed like what the menu stated), bacon was good, scrambled eggs were under seasoned, low quality hash brown, smoked salmon was very very salty and untouched after one bite (we paid $6 extra for this)ā¦.
My meal did not arrive until 5-10minutes later after my partner received his. The waiter handed me my breakfast and didnāt bother to clear the empty coffee mugs on saucers off our table. I held my breakfast and didnāt get to ask him because he walked away instantly. My partner and I had to rearrange everything and eat on a crowded table.
My āsmashedā avo was presented in slices with very minimal avocado. The poached egg was tiny and cold. I had an extra pain piece of toast underneath with nothing on it.
Whilst the aesthetic is nice and pretty, the service was lacking and the that showed in the food. Definitely not worth $70
Will not come back here again and would...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is without a doubt the worst cafe experience I've had in Melbourne. Please do not be fooled by the beautiful layout and display of food. As far as marketing goes, these guys are 10/10. They had me so excited to experience this place from their online presence. The service was mediocre at best. The staff had to be called over to order after waiting 25 mins to even be addressed at the table. Upon being served, we received the wrong order. When we questioned it, they asked if the drinks we received would be ok instead of what we ordered. We said no and asked for what we ordered.
Don't start me on the food! All their food is pre purchased and frozen in packages and not freshly made. The 'seasonal fruit' is from a can. The stale pancakes don't even get heated before topping with the canned 'seasonal fruits'. Its really not hard to make a fresh pancake. Why use pre-made ones that aren't even prepared on site? The chai is clearly powder chai, not loose leaf as you'd expect from such a nice looking establishment.
Upon looking at all the tables finishing up, every single table had food left over on their plates. (Like alot of food!) The food wastage this place must go through should be obvious enough to the venue to see that their standards are not high enough.
If the food was freshly made with fresh ingredients, this place would be great. Its a nice crowded atmosphere with a beautiful layout. The floor staff are overworked though. They could do with at least another 2 waiters...
