Desi Down Town is awesome - I’m so glad they have opened! The food at Desi is some of the best Indian food I have had! The Prawn Malabar curry is especially a standout. It has a thick and creamy coconut base but it’s light and flavourful to eat - a lot of spice and tang. The prawns in the curry were fresh and tender, and filled up the box!. The Kashmiri naan is also a must-have. The naan is soft and thick, but fluffy and easy to tear as well. The dried fruit and nut stuffing was a perfect combination of sweet and smoky. This is what to eat when you want to eat a dessert for dinner. The people are also lovely! Very happy Desi Down Town has opened - cant wait to keep trying more of the menu! From the house...

Live locally & ordered takeaway to support this new business. Very sadly was really disappointed. The Onion Bhajis were extremely salty. I’m Australian & like my food medium spicy. Asked for it be mid spice & it was so mild & bland. The Eggplant curry was saturated with oil - see pic & the Garlic Naan didn’t have any Garlic on it & were really dry. Lastly, I kept waking up throughout the night feeling thirsty & had to drink several glasses of water. As a result I felt jet lagged the next day. Sorry, won’t be returning &...

They’re a family owned i assume, very generous with their free sides that they offered. They’re from Pakistan.. hard to find someone who’s so generous with free side food. Thanks to them we enjoyed our brunch. Highly recommend to everyone, alone or with group this is a must to try..you can get a dish for 20 bucks or something which is very cheap in this economy… i’m gonna order from them whenever i’ll crave desi food. Everyone who’s craving desi food fresh and so yumm…must order from them theyir portion size...
