Feast — Restaurant in Melbourne

Booked for Mother’s Day only to be left completely disappointed.

-Poorly trained staff -No food available at arrival -Staff could not manage how much and when to cook, there were customer shouting for food -Food topped up only once empty -Not enough staff -Poorly managed since arrival, with queues until outside the building for no reason, patrons cutting the queue with none managing it -No queue system for the food station either, it was a free for all No management tried to organise the queues at any point. Management seemed completely unprepared and not ready for the event, using their word ”it is the biggest event of the year” I had to ask for people to come and take the empty plates on our table, as no one was doing that. The barmaid didn’t want to be there for sure, poor service.

After everyone had to stuff themselves with chicken and fish nuggets, magically all the trays were full. When it came to dessert choices, again no food available and the ice cream machine was constantly taken over by the same people or having to be repaired/topped up so unavailable, with the management again not caring of anything.

Don’t waste your money here, it felt like a scam, not enough food to feed all the bookings they had and poor quality food. Keep your $42 and spend them somewhere else. I will never ever...

I thought Australia was a peace-loving, free, and open country

But this restaurant changed my mind.

This restaurant will arrange for 10 of you to sit at a table for 6 people. When you respond that the space is too small, they will say that they can not give more tables because they are full. In other words: next time it is full, you may have 10 people sitting at 2 A table for people, as long as the number of chairs is correct.

The restaurant also clearly separates Asians and whites.

Even if you report the above situation to the restaurant manager, she will arrogantly tell you that you can file a complaint.

Then when I was writing the complaint letter, she took the lead in filing a complaint, complaining that we yelled at her (in fact we didn't).

When we finally left, there were still many empty seats nearby. Such a friendly restaurant, we will never visit again in our lives. I am surprised that such serious racial discrimination still occurs in Melbourne,...

Children out of control. Can’t complain about the food. But being seated hard up against the empty stage and crazy out of control children running wild at same level as our table top was an awful experience and very dangerous. I approached the bar tender to address the situation, merely to ask the children to get down from the stage. He said politely “it was the responsibility of the parents” & as nothing he could do. I asked to speak to the manager but no attempt was made to address it with me. Who is responsible if anyone is injured? Apparently not there’s.
