Picked up my sons birthday cake yesturday from Ferguson Plarre Bakehouse Eden Rise. It was about 35 degrees in Berwick at the time of collection by my husband. The cake was sitting out on the bench and not in the fridge at the store- the cake contained cream between the layers. By the time the cake reached home in an air conditioned car (only a 2 minute drive from the Centre) the cake was warm, droopy and started to slide off the cake board. I contacted the store right away and they advised me that the manager was going to call me back. Still to this moment, no call back. This cake cost me close to $100. I was not comfortable serving cake to guests (mostly kids) as the cream was warm when we collected it. Cake went into the bin. Devistated!! What happened of health and safety when handeling high risks foods...

Someone else commented that the lovely couple operating “Ferguson Plarre in Berwick” at Eden-Rise Shopping Centre are like a magnet and I couldn’t agree more . Shiv and Bindu would have to be the loveliest people I know. They do attract you to their business because they are very nice people with professional standards high as to how they work this bakehouse.the coffee is always hot and delicious with my soy-milk added just right - they know my order - and I’m sure not just mind - they extend a hand of friendship to all - the option of plant-based food like their sausage-rolls,celebration cakes or cupcakes are all delicious and it’s great to have that choice.
