Ferguson Plarre's Bakehouse - Coburg — Restaurant in Melbourne

Normally Ferguson Plarre Bakehouses are a great place to go, but Coburg on the other hand definitely not….

My partner and I came in on Sunday the 30th of January around 2pm (store shuts at 2:30pm)….

We were going to order 2 coffees and something to eat.

When we walked in the door, all of the lights were switched off, a cover over the cake display and the young lady working there probably on Facebook or something, which we clearly interrupted her paid time on social media…..

“I politely asked if we could please order a coffee” to which we were abruptly told, “sorry the machine is switched off”…..

I don’t know what the normal procedure is for Ferguson and Plarre Bakehouses, but when I worked in hospitality, the coffee machine was probably one of the last things along with the till which would be cleaned and switched off!

I don’t think I would be at all impressed if I was paying my staff double time on a Sunday to be turning customers away half and hour before close (could have been longer, who knows!), absolutely pathetic customer service and a terrible attitude by said staff member.

We definitely won’t be returning to the Coburg Ferguson Plarre any time soon until the staff have had some serious attitude adjustment and customer...

I visited Ferguson Plarre Coburg on 4/11/2023 at noon for redeeming an eligible free birthday donut offer with my Ferguson Plarre mobile app. I also asked politely for redeeming an eligible free coffee offered on the app as well. But the staff (an aged male person) acted so rudely to decline the free donut offer with no point, and also charged me extra $1.4 for the free coffee because it is in large size, which to be honest I have never came across in any other Ferguson Plarre. Apparently the staff at Coburg Ferguson Plarre really need to learn how to properly serve customers. I would say at this moment if I could give this shop 0 star for the staff attitude of customer care, I will do this without...

I ordered a cake for a baby shower and asked the customer service guy who seems around 60 years old to make the cake blue cause it was for a baby boy, and he said okay but when I picked up the cake it was pink and blue and when I mentioned the cake is wrong he was not even sorry for it and did nothing and handed me a number to complain and when I called in that number, the lady said she will call back asking area manager but never called me back.
