Wow! The one & only star is for the one & only person that gave a rats a*! No need to mention the lovely waitresses name, because the manager is well aware who this is. Sat & ordered lunch with my work mate, two Kento Burgers, two juice's & two muffins. As most workplaces, we only had minimal time for our lunch. It was about 20mins after we had a waitress come near us to ask about our order. She responded with "l'll go check".... 10mins later a different waitress comes to tell us that our order wasn't put through. We asked how long will it take to cook? She had said " a few minutes" Well we both thought ok we'll just have to eat it on the walk back to work. So we decided to wait "A FEW MINUTES" Five minutes further we are now getting calls from work so we go in & tell them we have to go & we can't wait any longer. The only person that was apologetic & offered our money back was the awesome waitress I had mentioned in the beginning. The manager behind the counter wasnt happy & blurted out " so am I returning the money separately or as one total?" Then she took out a calculator to work out the difference from Burger to our drinks & muffins. That's when I said "we had a couple bites off the muffins & a few sips of our juice which we can't take with us, so your going to return the full amount of 30.50 each, please!" Well that was responded with our money returned & the complenterary dagger eye's from the manager. Great job FigJam Cafe!!! At least you have one great waitress that gives two sh* about customers. Just so we are clear, I understand things like this happen in business, but it's how it's handled & resolved is what makes the consumer wanting to come back or not & wether to take time to type review's like this. I've some of the reviews & see that there's hardly anything like this one. Great to see. But again it's all down to how react to these situations, even if...
Read moreThis is a cozy and rustic cafe with a chill atmosphere. From the moment you step inside, you can feel the family-business vibe.
The menu is affordable and offers a full range of options from breakfast to lunch and dinner, ranging from $11-$23 per item. The staff is friendly and attentive, making you feel welcome and at home. However during the busy period, their service can be very slow.
One thing to note is that it's best to avoid ordering via Uber Eats as there is a significant price difference due to service fees. Instead, it's recommended to visit the cafe in person to fully enjoy the affordable prices.
The coffee is on point and definitely worth trying. The dishes are presented beautifully, and the must-try dishes are the blueberry hotcakes and shakshuka. They also have othe fusion dishes that sure fit the taste of everyone.
Overall, it is a great place to visit for a relaxed and affordable dining experience. Whether you're looking for a quick coffee or a hearty meal, Figjam Cafe has something for everyone. If you're in Carnegie, be sure to give it a try! I can't...
Read moreDecided to check this cafe out. It was quite cold outside however the only tables on offer were under cover in an outdoor area at the rear. There was a heater mounted on the wall where I sat however I was soon advised that this did not work. I decided on a flat white and the ricotta pancakes. Coffee was nice and hot and had a good flavour. The pancakes were beautifully presented however they actually had quite a crispy exterior and doughy interior. If was going to guess, I’d say they were not freshly cooked. The meal was pleasant enough but did not live up to the beautiful presentation. It was also a bit lean on the...
