Poor customer service, ONLY from the woman who take order for takeaway coffee on Saturday 13/01/18 and today 20/01/18, such a fake person.
At first I have to tell that I have been in this shop for a few years, even another brunch in Mentone. But recently I got disappointed from customer service twice in 2 Saturday this January 2018
Last Saturday 13/01/18 I ordered takeaway coffee, the staff told me to wait for 5 minuets when I asked. But before I left I heard that she said ā if itās 10 minuets, just tell them 5 minutesā I donāt mind to wait because the coffee is worthy to wait for.
After I came back, I just asked her respectfully ā next time can you tell me if itās 15 or 20 minuets, so I can go shopping around this areaā she was displeased said that she could not estimate time. In my opinion, I have seen her working here for a long time, how come she couldnāt estimate waiting time for customers and acted to me like Iām waiting for free coffee.
Last Saturday service made me feel really upset.
Also today, 20/01/18, she just acts like keeping in vigilance, which are unpleasant and not wrathful. Thatās alright, but when I got my coffee and turned my back, I looked at the shop, what I saw is sheās smiling with the guy who worked as barista. I feel like there might be some sarcastic behind customers, still she makes me disappointed from last Saturday even this Saturday.
Maybe Iām not worth her service or something?
I donāt know who I can talk to about this issue, some staffs seem like they know what happened behind. Here is only one way to state my opinion.
But I still like coffee from Huff, coz COFFEE was really tasty, baristas was skilfully and I could guess who made coffee for me even sometimes...

We have noticed that there are new members within the team and understand that they go through training phasesā¦
We ordered 2 number 3ās on rosemary garlic and one tuna melt on, with 3 coffees. After we sat we got two out of three orders one tuna melt and a 3ā¦. And were yet to receive another 3⦠I waited for 30 - 45 minutes for the last one.
I had to go up to the counter and asked if the staff knew if there was one coming. At which point I got told ālet me check with the kitchenā and then didnāt hear back about it. After another 10 minutes I had to go up again and the staff member said āsorry we donāt have your food ticketā⦠now surely when an order is written down⦠thereās clear cut evidence that the order was placedā¦. How does this process fail⦠so badlyā¦
The person who was meant to ācheck with the kitchenā didnāt even provide an update and we sat around waiting. When we approached staff they were not very apologetic and rude. Considering we have had many regular visits to Huff, this is simply disappointing; especially being Motherās Day!!

The cafƩ has a beautiful and cozy atmosphere, but unfortunately, both the food and service fell short.
We ordered a matcha latte, iced latte, and a salmon bagel. The matcha latte was easily one of the worst Iāve hadāit tasted artificial and overly sweet, almost like it was made with a powdered mix rather than real matcha. I could barely taste any actual matcha flavor.
The salmon bagel was also underwhelming. It was noticeably smaller than bagels from other shops, with only a thin layer of cream cheese and a small portion of salmon. The toppings were minimalājust cream cheese, salmon, and capers. While this might work as a quick bite on a busy morning, itās not satisfying enough for brunch or for anyone who really loves a good bagel. That said, the bagel itself was fresh and nicely made. Iād consider buying their plain bagels to take home and make my own.
Service was the cherry on topāin a bad way. The Asian male server came off quite rude and indifferent. There was no āthank youā or basic courtesy, just short, unwelcoming responses. When our food and drinks were brought to the table, they were placed down abruptly with an audible thud. The table wasnāt even properly wiped and had visible drink stains.
Overall, I wonāt be returning for the drinks or bagel sandwiches, but I might grab a few...
