It was a sunny day on 8th October when we visited Frankie Says, perfectly located near the Yarra River, we got: āļø Iced Coffee & Tropical Juice Delicious coffee & fresh blend of juice (thicc) š„ Hash Browns Served in 3, a nice side item / snack. š Special - Chicken on a Spit This was their Sunday special. The chicken was cooked & seasoned nicely! The meat was juicy, served with crispy chips, toasted bread, and the capsicum dip. However, a fresh salad as a side would make this perfect. š³ Chili Crab Benny This was tasty, the eggs were poached well, creamy hollandaise and coleslaw was fresh & nicely coated with the sauce. The texture contrast from the wonton crisps were nice too. However, the crab flavor was really lacking especially with all elements eaten together in one bite. If they could provide more āseafoodā taste, this would be a hit. Overall, the location is incredible as we got to enjoy our brunch with a view (and some sun!). The staff was friendly, there are indoor/outdoor seating options but it could get quite hot outside when the sunās on your head. The food was tasty, straight-forward but could do with some improvements. Weād recommend a visit on a sunny day! āØ

Staffs are friendly sometimes even like a family member :) The coffee is always great with a good price. The meal is always great whether it is breaky or lunch and the special Friday BBQs oh my goooooodness give it a try whenever you can, trust me you will not regret it, it is the best night ever, the vibe the meal the beer and wine are great combination. The owner is very welcoming and friendly, after ordering coffee two times we are like mates now, and the staff are great welcoming always with a smile. ā Frankie Says ā is a dog friendly place so you can enjoy your coffee, breakfast, brunch, lunch with your fur friend and enjoy your meal with a great view and in a green environment. The food is served professionally with great designs and it is always yum no matter what you order. But stay away from the ā CORNED BEEF ā it is not worth the money I think they must remove it from the menu. The variety of the Beer is limited and sometimes what you see in the menu is not available which is a bummer. I recommend the ā Frankie Says ā to everyone who wants to have a great time dinning out.

Came here on a Saturday morning with a friend, it wasn't busy, yet nobody came to our table to take our order, for at least 20-30 mins. Saw 3 staff standing around chatting, and couldn't grab their attention, so we had to get up and ask one of them to take our order. Should have taken the poor customer service as an indication of what was to come. I (regrettably) ordered the most expensive dish on the menu, the Chilli Crab Benny. My friend took poached eggs on toast with additional avo. I tried to eat my dish simply because I was hungry - but I couldn't torture myself enough to finish the cold mess of canned crab pieces, soggy vegetables and stale crumpets. I noticed my friend was struggling as well, and we also realised both our dishes had poached eggs with water spurting out of them. We gave up eating, and continued our catch up. At least my coffee was drinkable. In the end, she complained to the waiter on our behalf, who tried to argue with her that their eggs were poached just fine. No apology or compensation offered. Disappointing experience, to say the least.

Tucked away in a leafy corner overlooking the Yarra river is a hidden cafe serving up a delicious brunch menu in a peaceful setting surrounded by nature š± We tried: š¦ Chilli Crab Benny š Fish & Chips š„ Potato Cones (Samosas) š§ Tropical Cold Pressed Juice š„¤ Bahama Smoothie One of my fave eggs bennyās Iāve had in a while! Two crispy toasted english muffins topped with a generous serve of crab and perfectly poached eggs. The chilli lime hollandaise was creamy and flavourful and I loved the addition of crispy wontons for that extra crunch factor. The fish and chips were bomb - so crunchy, well-salted, a classic done right! The potato cones turned out to be samosas, which had a crunchy exterior and a tasty spiced filling. Loved the tropical juice, which had super fragrant fruity flavours and a nice burst of passionfruit. The smoothie was a little on the bland side, but still enjoyable.

The coffee here is always great and consistent, but the food was a bit of a letdown. Aesthetics over Quality. I ordered the Mushroom Risotto and it was far from what I expected. The rice was too al dente and dry, with no creamy sauce, just a bunch of wet rice. The mushrooms were okay, but it seemed like they cooked the mushrooms, added stock, then mixed in the rice and reduced it before serving. Plus, the portion size was way too big for one person. I usually come here with my workmates for the coffee since itās right next to our office. Nonetheless, i paid without touching the so-called risotto before leaving. This was my first time ordering food, and honestly, itāll probably be my last.

Stopped by this place for a break from our weekend bike ride! We planned to visit Kitty Burns but too bad their kitchen was closed when we reached so we decided to try out this place! We ordered the pork belly rice with kimchi and the grilled lamb with dahl. My favourite is definitely the meat! Both pork belly and grilled lamb were seasoned/marinated and cooked really well. However, it would be perfect if the portion was bigger and if the dahl had more spices in it. Overall, not a bad place at all, would not hesitate to come back for a second visit.
