I've always loved Gabriella's pizzas. It is as good - if not better - than any other pizzas I've had anywhere and I've eaten countless pizzas in my lifetime. I'm always happy to look down at my plate when I'm already getting full, to see that I've still got a half to go.
Sam and the crew are all the nicest people you'll meet; they've been running the restaurant for decades and have perfected their craft and they are always so warm and welcoming.
It's not mentioned on the menu, but be sure to ask for the thin pizza base; it was only recently suggested to me when I placed my order and it made a fantastic pizza into the perfect one, especially when combined with the request for it to be 'well done.' Seriously good.
A large thin base pizza uses the same amount of dough as a regular base medium; a medium thin base uses the same as a regular base small, etc.
I can never go past the vegetarian pizza with the addition of onions, prawns, anchovies and chilli. It is absolutely spot-on and the prawns are large and fresh; you won't be given those crappy little shrimps that just about every other pizza restaurant serves up.
My son orders the chicken and pineapple pizza with mushrooms and garlic which has real chicken (not processed rubbish) and a generous spread of mushrooms.
You have to try at least once, the garlic pizza/focaccia. It's an experience you will cherish. Make sure to be prepared with a pack of mints in the car.
If you're looking to go as a group of 5 or more, you'll likely need to book. There are some tables in the restaurant area but also some seating out the back, in a pergola type of space. There are heaters and cafe blinds fitted to make it comfortable during winter.
Lastly, don't take any negative reviews seriously. They...
Read moreOrdered a small Margarita pizza for two kids who had two slices each , and both ended up feeling very sick . One of them was in serious pain with a bad tummy ache . I did the right thing by calling and making a complain to someone on the phone who pretended my phone wasn’t working and he couldn’t hear me . After asking to speak to the owner I get put onto the most obnoxious man who straight away asks me if I’m Indian? According to him I sound Indian and he was sure I had eaten curry before eating pizza ! I’m utterly disgusted that in today’s day and age you would get treated like this ! To begin with I’m a Sri Lankan burgher who speaks better English than the owner himself and he had the odasity to tell me that I sound Indian instead of listening to what i had to say about the pizza and the state of it . Won’t be ordering from this joint ever again because instead of saying sorry he kept asking me what I want , so unprofessional! It’s clear they are using very unhealthy ingredients in their pizza! As both kids felt sick to their stomachs. Don’t be fooled by the fancy menu! The pizzas were very oily...
Read moreI had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant as an Uber Eats delivery driver. I arrived to pick up two orders and was asked to wait. After 20 minutes, I followed up, but the staff told me to wait again. Meanwhile, the customer messaged me about their order, and I informed them that it wasn’t ready. The customer then contacted the restaurant, only to be falsely told that the order had already been given to the driver, which was not true. I continued waiting patiently for an hour, yet the orders were never handed over. Eventually, both orders were canceled, and I was not paid for my time. The restaurant wasted an hour of my work, which could have been avoided if they had provided an estimated preparation time. I urge delivery drivers not to waste their time here, and I request the restaurant management to take Uber Eats, DoorDash, and Menulog orders seriously. Wasting a driver’s time is unfair, especially given the rising...
