Gloria's Wine — Restaurant in Melbourne

Had a function at Glorias Wine Bar last night for 16 friends / colleagues. It was just perfect. We have dropped in before as a couple and with a few friends for a drink and yummy nibble (pizzas and share plates great value) , but I have never hosted a function there. Nick and their team went above and beyond to set up our space - 1 of 3 that are available for functions. You know when the vibe is just right? People relax, enjoy interesting wine varieties, yummy food and good company. Soooo easy. I got a beverage package that covered pretty much all tastes (even beer if they preferred) and you can still add on champagne or cocktails if you want to add to the prosecco / rose / other white and red varieties provided in the package. The canapes available to pre-order are really great quality and substantial. Everyone wants to go back, and they are all excited to share the venue with other friends, always a good sign. The place was hoping yesterday, with a DJ playing vinyl. Was a bit hesitant to hear what music would be played as we really wanted to chat and catch up, but it was great background sound that added to the already cool, relaxed vibe. Despite the full house- fantastic to see, as long as we can get in next time!! - we were taken care of so well by dedicated staff. So happy to support a local small business, to have our own "cheers" around the corner and cant wait to go back, maybe next time hire the whole venue? ...

I've been told by the locals I met in Gloria’s Wine Bar that the wine list has been perfectly curated for the residents of Camberwell in mind . As a visitor to the area, I personally just loved the mix of well known wines amongst the classics and also the other offerings that will take you out of your comfort zone. The Somm has put together a list that will keep you coming back, the banter about the wine isn’t bad either. Tonight’s pick was an excellent Nebbiolo, while from Piedmonte this was from Alto Piedmonte, a classic but an exciting example to try. I recently had the pleasure of visiting this charming wine bar, and I must say, it was an absolute delight from start to finish. From the moment I stepped inside, I was immediately drawn in by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The decor was tastefully done, creating a cozy and intimate setting perfect for a relaxing evening. It is a must when visiting Gloria’s to order the potato cakes !!.
