a great spot when you want wine and a snack. sleek, olive and woody tones and a semi-open kitchen. lovely! our waitress kindly let us know there was 1 minute left on the happy hour, so we jumped to order drinks! I enjoyed my light red, while they also have a range of cocktails including a negroni and margarita for $12. my friends went for their focaccia and butter. considering there was no real saucy dish to really do any wiping up with bread, I went for their anchovy toast. as always, a bite of heaven. 🤩 I loved the bread was chewy not rock solid like some anchovy toast. their fries were HUGEE I just wish they were hotter and salted more. their roast brussel sprouts on goats curd was tasty, but lacked a crunchy element. their eggplant and olive caccheri daily pasta was delicious! hearty and simple, a comforting dish that resembled a home cooked one. paired with their dressed leaves, this was yum! I found their menu could do with a little more play on flavours and dishes. the wine bar game in melbourne is PEAKING with some of the smallest, simplest plates absolutely blowing me away. while I didn’t find greta left me with this feeling, it’s a nice spot to try of you’re a fan of long wine lists and some simple snacks. they have parmagiana night on wed, pasta and wine on thurs, beef and wine all day everyday and happy hour 4-6 wed to fri. give one a go! 🫶🏽

ORDERED: 🍝 Thursday Special: Pasta (beef ragu paccheri) & Wine ($30.00) 🍟 Parmesan pomme frites $16.00) 🥗 Brussel Sprouts, chicory, vinaigrette ($15.00) It was $48.00pp between two people! REVIEW: ⭐ I liked Greta's Thursday special! A big serving of pasta with two options of vegetarian/meat. We went with a beef ragu, served with what appeared to be paccheri pasta. The big short round yellow smooth tubes scooped the beef ragu sauce perfectly. A glass of red/white wine accompanied our meal for an easy $30. 🍷 We added parmesan pomme frites to snack on (the parmesan a light savoury delight) and the brussel sprouts roasted... but a bit too acidic for my tastes from the vinaigrette. It was great to add some greens though. Service was... interesting. It took a while to grab the waitress' attention. When we needed her at times, she was hard to find. 🔍 However, she was really supportive in letting us sit together (so we had a 2 seater which became a 4) and that gave us ample space. Interior is cosy and great to catch up with a mate over dinner.

Went here for lunch on a Wednesday and they were able to seat us for an hour without a booking. This is not a casual dining place – STRONGLY recommend making a reservation so you don’t feel rushed like we did. We were seated in the right corner which was dark and close to the kitchen so could hear the sound of clashing cutlery for most of the meal. The food itself was delicious! Kudos to the chefs. Between two adults we shared a chicken schnitzel and the chicken pasta special. Pasta was al dente and chicken schnitty was huge and succulent. The wine selection is also divine - the Pinot Noir was a great way to wash the pasta down. Will go back to try the other dishes and coffee but again, make a booking.

I ordered a small oat latte around around 12:00 PM on Tuesday, the 30th of September.

The tall guy with the black hair grabbed my order and made the coffee. Honestly, I was so gobsmacked by the service I can’t even begin to complain.

He just chucked a cold shot into a cup that had been sit on the coffee machine stand and barely bothered to steam the milk properly. He slapped it together and handed it over in less than a minute.

I was standing right there watching, but he just carried on, looking like he couldn't be bothered. And then charged me $5.70 for that rubbish.

7- Eleven coffee would be made with more care and be warmer than that.

Absolutely shocking experience. The worst

Thank you for reaching out. I’ve already commented on the situation I experienced, and I was wondering what kind of details you’d like to gather. I’m happy to respond through the Google review, but I don’t agree to share...
