Was very disappointed with Yarraville store today-there was no understanding, nor flexibility in their approach and service...I've been given a 'two for one' deal recently, which I am very grateful for, but due to a sudden lockdown in Melbourne, and 5km rule, was unable to use it prior to it's expire day, which was today...I asked them kindly if they could extend the deal for just a bit longer and the manager refused it, stating that they, unfortunately, cannot do anything about it. They even asked me, after reminding them about the 5km rule, if I can come in today, since they don't do a delivery to my suburb-seriously!!! It's not my fault that the government suddenly decided to lock the whole state down, but just as I like to help businesses grow by using their services, it would be nice from them to be more flexible and understanding towards their customers and their needs-I am sure they could do lots about it, since what I asked from them wasn't really a big deal, but they didn't want to-well next time I'd think twice before going to their store! I'd rather help out businesses who care about their customers and are willing to 'break' some rules in order to satisfy and keep them happy!!! Hopefully this review helps them treat their future customers in a better way and show them that they care and are happy to help when needed + band the rules next time someone asks for a favour, specially when faced with this kind of...
Read moreHaving ordered more than 5 times home delivery form Grill’d, tonights delivery was like no other, and I hope you never have to experience this. I dont write reviews, but on this occasion I have been so deeply offended by the response of a simple home delivery, I wanted to share it with the Yarraville Community. Today, Friday night (19th Aug 2022) we ordered a home delivery, and then received it, in the most unconventional way I have ever received ...it was thrown over our fence!! We looked out our front door to see if the delivery had landed, and strewn across our walkway was dinner, and to prove it here are the photos. The response, with your phone call - asked to speak the manager, I was then told I needed to speak to the manager of the manager, and was hung up on. Called back, spoke to the manager of the manager, and told...NO we cannot re-deliver as we did not deliver (it is an OH&S issue for our staff to deliver it!!!, and it isn’t our fault, its the delivery company). Cummon people, give me a break, I order direclty of the grill’d website, that includes delivery, it is not my issue that Grill’d choose a third party, you should have fixed this without question. From a deeply offended Yarraville Local, and remember these words if you are still reading this, 'Caveat Emptor!' I look forward to Grill'ds response to this depressing way to end our...
Read moreGrill’d has been one of my long-standing favourites when it comes to burgers. There’s something about their whole “healthy burger” angle that actually feels true—the buns are always fluffy, the patties are seasoned and cooked well, and the chip + herb mayo combo is, in my opinion, iconic. The service is generally quick, and the vibe is casual but warm, making it a reliable go-to whether I’m eating in or grabbing takeaway.
That being said, there’s one consistent letdown: the tomatoes. Every single time, they’re either soggy, overripe, or taste like they’ve been sitting around a little too long. It’s disappointing because the rest of the ingredients are so fresh and well thought out. A crisp, juicy tomato would lift the whole burger, but instead it ends up making the bun soggy and throwing off the balance of textures. When you’re paying premium prices for a “better burger,” you notice these little details—and they matter.
I genuinely love Grill’d and will keep coming back, but it’s time the tomato situation got some attention. If the quality of the tomato matched the freshness of the lettuce, pickles, and bun, it would easily be a five-star...
