Great place for breakfast, lunch, brunch or even just a coffee. Lovely outside dining area is under natural shade of trees and has a fabulous area for kids to play within direct view of where you are eating. The mentee has plenty of options and caters to vegetarians well. A nice range of got and cold drinks. There is also an area inside with lots of pre-made options for those who are short on time. I have been twice, each with a group of 4 different people and everyone was very happy with their meals, so is say the food is quite good. Brunch menu items seemed to fall into the $13-18 range, however portions are quite generous. Quick overview: Right by Yarraville train station. Plenty of parking High chairs available. Alfa Yarraville

Visited here on the 02/01/2020 at 1pm and all tables occupied indoor and out. Waited 5 minutes for a table. The weather was nice and we got a seated outside underneath the trees.

Location and Parking Located right outside Yarraville train station. Outdoor dining area covered with trees and large indoor dining area. We did a full lap in the area and managed to park a street away.

What did we order? I ordered the hash brown Benedict (HBB) and a flat white. They ordered the green breakfast, HBB, Salt and Pepper Calamari and Chips. One Tropical and one Mango smoothie.

Food and Service Service was standard. Guided us to the table and told us where to go place our orders. They checked on us to see how everything was going.

Covidsafe: QR code for the menu and another for the menu. Self serve water and pay and order at the counter.

Anything else? Green breakfast - We would recommend swapping out the sourdough if you can. We found it difficult to cut through with our knife. Food was ok, good as a local, wouldn’t travel for the food. Flat white was more like a latte. Digital Menu shows an updated price on most items...

If you want to stand around for 5-10 minutes while waiting to be seated while the patriarch barks orders at his son to get newspapers for a table and generally ignore you, this is the place for you. I really enjoy watching the owner of the business lean back, bark orders at servers who are clearly too young to be working, but are cheap and easy labour because they're family, all while giving me greasy looks from his vantage point.

Seeing how sour faced and hands-off this guy was really makes me wonder what the conditions of the kitchen are like.... As Gordon Ramsay has shown countless times, an absent, rude and generally greasy owner is a recipe for health violation or seven.
