Guzman y Gomez - Roxburgh Park — Restaurant in Melbourne

Out of 6 items we only received 2. A drink and a bucket of chips. Is this a joke? Tried to call but their phone doesn’t connect and just says to take up with the deliver service who say to take it up with Guzman who don’t even have a working phone or any way to contact them. How is it this bad already and it hasn’t even been open for 2 weeks? Do better. I shouldn’t have to wonder if I’m going to eat tonight based on your lack of brains and not knowing how to do your job. An hour and a half later and we’re still waiting. Will be lodging a formal complaint.

UPDATE: they had to go back and pick up our order AS THEY SHOULD and wouldn’t you know we literally just got one singular bag with churros. 1 item. Still no sign of the actual full meals we ordered. This is beyond ridiculous. This place needs to be closed down it’s genuinely a joke how does this even happen. Seems like we’re not getting our food at all tonight. Never ever going back here and telling every single person I know to never go here as I’m half convinced it’s a scam and is actually just there for money laundering purposes. Disgusting.

Finally got in contact with the ‘manager’ who refused to tell me how to file a formal complaint or who I needed to email or call to sort this out. Completely unprofessional talking over me fighting with me. I’ve never had an experience like this in my life. DO. NOT. GO. HERE. I wouldn’t be surprised if this place goes under in a matter of weeks....

Have been my worse experience with GYG for second time. I ordered a burrito paid around 15$ and got it leaking with liquid like it was dipped in water before serving, tho I didn’t even take it out of the wrap. I went to the counter and a teen-aged boy talked to me. I told him that I understand, the restaurant is busy but this is not what I expect my order to be like. And he replied in his very arrogant tone it is the way it is supposed to be. I asked him his name but he again rudely replied that I am not supposed to tell you my name. There’s nothing wrong with it. I took it back and opened it fully. It got my hands wet and then I again went to the desk with my friend and he asked loudly that who’s the manager here?. A different guy without mentioning his name, addressing himself as manager came in-front and he accepted that the burrito was not in a way it was supposed to be. I just wanted an apology for that teenager not being kind and talking disrespectfully but the person who addressed himself as manager defended him and there was no rationalisation or shame on this. I didn’t take any replacement or my money back just because their attitude towards customer was hostile. Visited this GYG at 8pm(ish) 31/7.

Honestly this GYG was one of the FILTHIEST establishments I’ve ever been to- I’m not even using hyperbole here.

The service was terrible and look- my expectation from customer service workers in fast food is honestly mediocre. I know most people don’t plan to be there forever whatever and I really don’t care as long as I get served efficiently, politely and the food tastes fine.

There were like 8 or so team members that I could see on. I made eye contact with about 6 different staff- who ignored. Literally made eye contact with a guy who threw his gloves into the bin, took his cap off to let his rat tail free and walked past myself and ALL the other waiting customers without saying a single word.

A different guy took my order- it was fine, he didn’t acknowledge the length of time or offer a quick apology.

When we actually got served our food it was on a tray with loose chips and it was clearly dirty- so glad they put my clean fork on there. Oh and I didn’t order any chips. 🤮

The place is a sty. Chips all over the floor and not a single table was clean- CLEAN I’m not even talking tidy, but there was rubbish on nearly every table.

The food to their credit was actually tasty and in line with other GYGs taste wise. But honestly the place was disgusting, I wouldn’t be surprised if the kitchen is reeking of heath...
