So this has opened recently, and the only times the lines have not been massive were when it was closed. I remember fondly the only time I had some Taco Bell many years ago overseas so I thought to myself, I must have some more.
The first time I tried to go through the drive-thru, the line was so massive I told myself I'd come another day. The second time, I came half an hour before closing and the drive-thru was closed, with a huge line inside the store. Determined, I tried for a third time around midday, the line was large but much less than the first time. A couple of cars drove out of the line, either to park and wait inside the restaurant or to give up and try another day.
Nevertheless, my wife and I persisted. An employee came around and gave us a menu while we waited in the car. That was great, it gave us a chance to look at the full menu in depth and plan what we want without worrying about holding everyone up at the order box. I didn't so much appreciate some pen scribbles on the menu, made me wonder how many people had handled it previously but oh well.
We moved along at a reasonable pace and eventually placed our orders. The staff was very friendly and attentive to our order, had no issues understanding each other, and was very quick to fix a slight misunderstanding caused as a result of my non-deliberate confusing terminology (pro tip: don't ask for a "large regular Pepsi" when you want a non-diet Pepsi).
We ordered a Boss Burrito meal, a Crunchwrap Supreme, a Cheesy Gordita Crunch, and a Stacked Nachos Supreme.
We received our orders and happily drove back home and laid out the food to start eating about 20 minutes later. Initial impressions were mixed. I was very pleased to see actual tortilla chips instead of the Dorito's style nacho chips. The artificial cheese sauce was exactly what I had in mind, precisely what I would expect of an American cheese sauce, no complaints there.
The avocado paste advertised as guacamole was a complete disaster though, could not bring myself to eat the stuff squeezed on top of the nachos. In fact, the entire nachos bowl did not look at all appealing, with the fresh salsa looking like it had been around for days. It might have been a result of the other hot things in the bowl but given better experiences elsewhere I'm not sure that's much of an excuse. Though, to be fair, upon closer inspection the green paste in the photos on the website/menu look exactly like what we received so I suppose that's on me for not paying closer attention and expecting something else. Needless to say, the nachos bowl was not finished.
The Boss Burrito, advertised with the words "double meat", felt more like a double serving of rice. It was overall flavourful and we enjoyed that the most but just a bit too much rice texture going on.
The Cheesy Gordita Crunch, a hard shell taco with taco filling, wrapped by a soft taco and cheese in between, was not at all crunchy by the time we got home. I imagine it might have been a lot better if we dined in or ate it in the car immediately. Same for the Crunchwrap Supreme which was supposed to have a crunchy tostada in the middle. Both were okay,... just okay.
What was the most disappointing overall (besides the green paste) is how little flavour was imparted by the proteins we tried, the chicken and the beef mince. Not much to say there.
Overall, the concept is exciting, and maybe had we eaten a little bit earlier the experience would have been slightly better. The staff are doing great even with the current high demand. It was not a terrible experience but not one that I'll be repeating anytime soon, and certainly not one I'd be willing to queue up for over 20 minutes for. At most, it may deserve a second chance to try out a fresh Cheesy Gordita Crunch while it's still hot...
Read moreTaco Bell has become more than just a fast-food chain; for many people, it represents a cultural staple, a late-night savior, and a place where flavor experimentation is always front and center. What makes Taco Bell unique is its dedication to standing out in the fast-food industry. Instead of copying the classic burger-and-fries formula that dominates much of the American market, Taco Bell has taken the idea of Mexican-inspired cuisine and reinvented it into something all its own. The food is not authentically Mexican, but rather a bold reinterpretation of flavors and textures, blended into fast-food convenience. Items like the Crunchwrap Supreme showcase this bestâitâs a flour tortilla folded into a hexagon, stuffed with beef, lettuce, tomato, sour cream, cheese, and a crunchy tostada shell in the middle. Itâs both portable and satisfying, a kind of all-in-one meal that feels innovative compared to the typical burger. That kind of creativity is what has given Taco Bell such a dedicated fan base.
The menu at Taco Bell is enormous, and thatâs part of the fun. Customers are spoiled for choice, whether they want something small and budget-friendly like a simple bean burrito, or something indulgent like a fully loaded Nachos BellGrande. Over the years, Taco Bell has built a reputation for being fearless in its menu experimentation, rolling out wild limited-time items that push the boundaries of fast food. Who could forget the Doritos Locos Tacos, which used an entire Doritos chip as the taco shell? It sounded unusual at first, but it became one of the most successful product launches in the companyâs history, cementing Taco Bellâs image as a brand thatâs willing to take risks. Even if not every experimental item becomes a permanent menu staple, the constant rotation of new products keeps the experience fresh and exciting for returning customers.
Affordability is another major strength of Taco Bell. While many fast-food chains have raised their prices significantly, Taco Bell has managed to keep a wide range of value menu items available, making it one of the more budget-friendly options for people looking to grab a quick bite. The âCravings Value Menuâ allows customers to mix and match inexpensive items without breaking the bank, and for students, families, or anyone on a tight budget, that accessibility is a huge draw. Unlike other chains where $10 might only cover a sandwich and fries, at Taco Bell, that same amount can buy a filling assortment of tacos, burritos, and sides, leaving customers satisfied. This focus on affordability, combined with creativity, gives Taco Bell a special niche in the fast-food landscape: itâs both playful and practical.
Of course, no review of Taco Bell would be complete without talking about the experience of actually eating there. The quality of service and food can vary depending on location, but at its best, Taco Bell is fast, reliable, and satisfying. A fresh, well-made Taco Bell order is hard to beat: warm tortillas, seasoned beef, melted cheese, and just the right amount of crunch from the shells or chips. Their signature sauces, like the Mild, Hot, Fire, and Diablo packets, also add to the funâyou can customize each bite by adding a different sauce, creating a meal that feels interactive in a way. For many customers, collecting and trying the sauces is part of the tradition of eating at Taco Bell. On the flip side, the inconsistency between locations can sometimes be frustrating. Some restaurants might be exceptionally clean and efficient, while others may have longer wait times or mix-ups in the order. Still, the chainâs widespread availability and late-night hours often outweigh those...
Read moreMy family and I have been waiting for Taco Bell to open,
As stated on Taco Bell website we can order on menulog.
This wasnât the case, so we decided to go there and sit down at the restaurant for a tasty burrito bowl.
Again this wasnât the case due to COVID they closed down there seating area even though the restriction were easing.
Days later the seating area has now open and we where all eager to sit down and have a good meal.
We arrived later in the afternoon the restaurant was busy as to be expected, we walked through the door and was greeted by a big line which wasnât to bad.
So here is why I deducted stars
-1 âď¸ the food is very over priced for what you get,
-1 âď¸ the sit down part was not regularly maintained, the floor had unavoidable puddles and we had to clean our own table.
After eating there was no bins in the restaurant that I had to walk outside to put my rubbish in the bin.
In the seating area you can see through the window into the kitchen which is a good idea to see how your food is prepared, but it would be better if you down put machinery in front of it cause you can see oil makes on the window which is not attractive.
+1 âď¸ Free refills was a plus. +1 âď¸ location +1 âď¸ but I must admit delicious and filling.
Over all I would say satisfactory for their first month of operation, as well all know with new operations, there is always kinks that need...
