Harding's Burger Joint — Restaurant in Melbourne

Placed an order through UberEats at 6:45 PM, with an estimated delivery time of 7:15 - 7:35 PM. 7:35 came and went, still no delivery. Requested an update through UberEats. Update never came. Tried calling the restaurant 10 times. They didn't pick up the phone. Tried cancelling the order. UberEats wouldn't let me cancel it. Tried informing UberEats that the order never arrived. They said "it looks like it's on its way".

(I ended up ordering from another burger place, and that order arrived perfectly on time)

Delivery driver (the owner) rocks up, THREE HOURS LATER, saying he had 2 delivery drivers not show up for work that night, and that he would return to the restaurant and cancel my UberEats order (the refund landed in my account a couple of days later).

UPDATE 29/11/2020 The owner contacted UberEats requesting that I contact him, which I did, by e-mail, and he was quite apologetic & offered me his mobile phone number and a free meal)

UPDATE 5/12/2020 Redeemed free meal from owner today. 2 burgers, 2 cans of coke and a loaded fries. Owner was very prompt at replying, asking what menu items I would like, and what time I would like it delivered. He then provided me updates of when my order had left the restaurant and also an ETA, which...

I wouldn’t bother coming here. My wife went to the Indian across the road but because we needed quick take away I cam here. No one was in the shop front so I had to ring the bell. I order 2 burgers and chips. The person taking the orders melts on asking me to have a hash brown in my two chicken burgers instead of bacon because they were out of bacon. I kept on saying that is not like for like and I don’t want hash browns in my gourmet burger’s, it sounded like there was a private party in the kitchen. 7 mins after my wife told me she had the whole Indian meal (15mins after me ordering total 22mins) I was delivered one burger. When I asked where the rest of the food was he realised he had made less than half the meal. 15mins later he came back with the other burger and chips ordered. During both processing times there was clearly a party going on in the kitchen with numerous voices being hear singing and laughing. It was clearly evident tge sole worker decided him and a few mates were there to party and screw any customer...

EDIT: my order arrived almost 3 hours after placing it. It arrived dead cold, the buns were burnt, the chicken and meat looked dry & overcooked, the cheese was congealed which shows how long the burgers were sitting before arriving at my door. And the chips were soggy. It was inedible, such a waste. The excuse was that they had 50 orders.......Needless to say I'll never order from here again & I do not recommend this place.

I placed an order via UberEats. The order sat as "your order is being prepared" with an estimated delivery time of 7.15-7.35. Once it got to 7.35, the tracking changed to "your order may arrive soon" & an option to request a delivery time update. That didn't work, the restaurant didn't update the time. I also tried calling, no answer. I also can't cancel being it's "being prepared".

DO NOT ORDER from this place!! So unprofessional, it's been 1.5 hours since I placed the order & I've no idea what's happening. Don't waste your time...
