Her Cafe — Restaurant in Melbourne

One of my favourites ever since I first visited! The iced matcha latte is genuinely one of the best I’ve had, it has a hint of honey that’s not too overpowering and its not too sweet either. The matcha flavour is also authentic, strong but not overwhelming, definitely not watery and diluted like other places may make it. The banana bread was offered to be warmed and I’m so glad it was because it was also delicious and super nice with the exterior slightly toasted, I wasn’t expecting to be so impressed by their banana bread either!! As for the service hospitality was 10/10, the young lady working there was super friendly and kind which contributed to the great experience here. A small cosy spot that has really nice looking sweets on display and an overall aesthetically pleasing look to it both from the exterior and interior too. Really pleasantly surprised to stumble across this spot with my friend and we both enjoyed it a lot 😊 It became the first matcha she ever tried that she so genuinely enjoyed that it actually opened her up to the world of matcha afterwards. I was attracted by the interesting design of the logo, as well as the menu since it has one of my favourite flavour - yuzu. Though yuzu wasn't available for the day, I was introduced to Black sesame burnt basque and Lychee rose sponge cake.

Even though I was extremely fulled when I had them, the lychee rose sponge cake was surprisingly not filling, giving a sense of light and refreshment. The black sesame burnt basque was great too, not too sweet and almost had the perfect balance on the black sesame flavour and the sweetness.

To my preference, I'd like the black sesame to be stronger :D And I just need to have it at a better timing to fully appreciate that (I was way too full lol)

Recently moved to melb and stumbled upon Her Cafe and boy am I thankful I did. I've been coming to Her Cafe almost on a weekly basis to get takeouts. Their food and drinks are priced quite reasonably. I throughly enjoy all their sandwiches, they taste really good, as well as their iced mocha; it's one of the better ones that I've had. The staff are very friendly and the atmosphere of the cafe is cozy and cute. I've also heard that their cakes are good so I'm eager to try them in the future.
