We have been here a number of times and we enjoy the food but I want to make a few comments as to what detracts. I know these things are becoming common practice in restaurants in Australia but nowhere else in the world does this happen: Main course does not include ANY vegetables and it seems we are not buying a main but components of a main! AND the sides are $13 each. Why do you not include sides and just charge a little more . So the lamb we had for $39 was delicious but if we had have had 2 sides it would have been an extra $26!!! The wine amount was very very small. When i complained the server said it was 150ml but he added another 2 drops!!! It would be far better to give a 200ml glass of wine and then people don't feel like they are beieng ripped off. These are the thnings that detract from what could be an amazing restaurant! Wf would like to return because the food is good however we would think twice about it. I do feel that in these times of discretionary spending and tough economic times you should be doing everything you can to keepyour custoners and price and quality is the essence. you have the quality now get the...

We dined at Sowl on Saturday nite . Amazing food & service . Yianni the owner was amazing was very accommodating to meet any dietary requirements. Food came out quickly & the restaurant had a fantastic ambience with dimly lit lighting clean & comfortable. We also received a complimentary desert from Yianni which was lovely . We left extremely full but will definitely be revisiting this place again . Exactly what Carnegie needs . Keep up the good work.

** Review edited 30/6/25 I took my partner on Sunday for his birthday as I also wanted him to experience the food at this restaurant. Unfortunately we were very disappointed with the quality of the food served to us. The standard has declined since my last visit. The portion size of lamb only fed one person even though it was meant to be for 2 people . The potatoes were cut into wedges and were also very soggy the food was lukewarm and had clearly been sitting for a while . Considering the restaurant had very few diners on the Sunday nite this shouldn’t have happened. We actually left feeling hungry. I didn’t want to make a formal complaint on the nite to the owner as it was my...

Food: 5/5 Customer service: 5/5 Ambience: 5/5 Value for money: 5/5 We came here for dinner and ordered the 4-course set. The food was amazing! We picked fish for our main course. The barramundi was so tender and juicy! The calamari was all very tasty. I especially love the fact that there’s a hint of sourness in almost every dish. Very refreshing and not overwhelming. The portion size was also very generous. I wouldn’t say this is a 4-course meal. They refer to each cluster of dishes as one course, so in fact there’s a lot more varieties of food than what one would expect. My photos include all the dishes in this 4-course set. The bread was also soft and flavorful. We asked if we could have a bit more bread and received a whole new serve of bread. The dessert was tiramisu, in a big glass ;) As for the service, my partner dropped his cutlery twice by accident and didn’t even need to call for someone to replace them. The staff came right after he dropped them. Such lovely and attentive staff. Definitely will come back! Absolutely loved...

Mari and I celebrated our 12th wedding anniversary at Sowl Restaurant and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, Yiannis from Sowl absolutely set the tone with exceptional hospitality, talk about the perfect example of what true service should be. When you combine that with the stunning setting that Yiannis and Maria have crafted at Sowl, the experience went beyond just a special occasion, it became a cherished memory. "Big call, I know but honestly true". Their passion for what they do shines through in every detail, but most importantly, through the flavours of their exquisite dishes. Every bite reflected a deep love for culinary artistry, making our evening truly special. Well done to the entire team for creating such a remarkable experience! I would highly recommend Sowl to anyone looking to celebrate a meaningful moment in an unforgettable way. A heartfelt thank you to all at Sowl Restaurant. Alvi & Mari.

Decided to go eating out on a rainy day and stumbled upon SOWL on Google Maps and it was nearby so we decided to book a table for two. First impressions were very nice with great ambience and very attentive front staffs (even the chef greeted us and explained the menu). So we went with the Lobster tarts for starters and those were truly marvelous! For main we ordered Lamb of the God (catchy name) and Truffle Pasta. To be honest we found the mains to be okay as nothing stood out too much. The lamb was nicely cooked and moist but I just felt there was a tad lack of flavour to it. Same went for the pasta: it was cooked nicely but the texture was a bit too simple for us. Luckily the chocolate dessert saved the day and I absolutely loved it! Overall I'd say it's definitely a great place to impress someone and the services were certainly top-notch. Foods were on the ok side with fabulous entrees and desserts. For us it is a 3 out of 5.
