Last Sunday night, we had a feast at this restaurant. Eight of us went there to celebrate an occasion, with drinks & dinner. We started off with an entree consisting of Chicken tikka, Samosas, and Onion Bhajji/pakoras served with salads. The Samosas were delicious, perfectly fried and crispy on the outside. The same was with Onion Bhajjis. Now, coming to the chicken tikka... It was the best we have tasted in a long time. When the platter was brought to our table, it was sizzling hot emitting aeromatic smoke. This chicken tikka was absolutely delicious, with good-sized succulent portions of tender chicken cooked to perfection. These chicken tikka pieces were layered on top of green vegetables/salads with butter. The resulting effect was a delicious semi cooked buttery greens that complimented the amazing chicken tikka even more! Following this, we indulged in the main course that consisted of -- Lamb rogan Josh, butter chicken, vegetable korma, butter Naans, Pea Palau rice, and so on. With the mains Lamb rogan Josh, butter chicken and butter naans were the best. Butter chicken had good-sized chicken portions perfectly cooked & tender, blended in a well-balanced butter sauce, which was slightly on the sweeter side. Lamb Rogan Josh also had good portions of tender Lamb pieces in a delicious spicy gravey. Butter naans appeared to be just out of the Tandoor oven - hot, delicious, and served with dollops of butter. Finally, we finished off our dinner with a dessert of mango Kulfi. (The Kulfi was a negative, i.e., cut pieces of a rather small amount of Kulfi served on plates. Kulfi served as a whole dessert, tastes much better than cut pieces in a plate). The second negative was, when a couple of our guests requested for butter chicken and Lamb rogan Josh to be topped up (because these items were meant to be unlimited) they were told that the dishes had to be completely empty including any remaining gravey etc before these could be replenished!) But, apart from these two negatives, it was a beautiful dinner and experience. The ambience was really nice too. In conclusion, there's a pretty well stocked bar also on premises which serves varieties of beer, wine and spirits, etc. You can also bring your own bottles of champagne, wine, etc, (corkage/glass charge applies). Overall, this is an excellent Indian restaurant that serves delicious authentic Indian food with excellent ambience and staff too. I highly recommend this business.

This restaurant had quite a fine dining atmosphere with the beautiful lighting feature that bathed the room in a warm glow and the elaborate gold menus. I started with a mango lassi which was a thick blend of this yummy traditional beverage. Entrees included chicken tikka, tandoori prawns and the chilli paneer. The paneer wasn’t something I would generally go for but it was recommended as a bit of a twist on a classic and it was actually my dining companions stand out favourite of the three. It’s definitely good to try something different every now and then. For mains we had the butter chicken (obviously) and the malai prawns. As these are both quite sweet dishes (because I LOVE sweet sauces) the waitress recommended saffron rice as an accompaniment rather then my beloved coconut which was definitely sound advice (more authentic too!) These paired beautifully with the garlic naan and the cheese naan which was generously stuffed with melted goodness. The prawns were cooked perfectly too. As for the sauces they were delicious and I even ordered a third naan (Kashmiri) to dip into the remainder. We finished the meal with one of the best kulfi’s we’ve experienced. This dish can often be sickly and I believe many Indian restaurants buy their kulfi from a certain Dandenong manufacturer. Indian Burrp pride themselves on making their own and you can definitely taste the difference

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Indian Burrp and I can honestly say it was a fantastic experience. From start to finish, the service was impeccable and the food was absolutely delicious. For our entree, we ordered the Burrpie platter and we were blown away by the variety of flavors and textures. Everything was cooked to perfection and the presentation was beautiful. For our mains, we ordered the Butter Chicken and Beef Madras curries and they did not disappoint. The Butter Chicken was creamy and rich with just the right amount of spice, while the Beef Madras had a deep, complex flavor that left us wanting more. The beef madras was definitely our fav! Throughout our meal, the staff at Indian Burrp were attentive and friendly, making us feel right at home. The restaurant itself has a cozy, welcoming atmosphere that's perfect for a night out with friends or a romantic dinner for two. Overall, I would highly recommend Indian Burrp to anyone looking for authentic Indian cuisine and top-notch service. I will definitely be returning soon!

I brought some friends to check it out as we saw an insta reel on the big thali. But our experience was quite poor. I made a reservation in advance for 8:30pm on a Saturday night. When I got to the restaurant, no one greeted me at the front. I was ignored by all the staff for 15 minutes. I had to walk to the back to speak with them and ask for some service. Later the manager apologized and said they were bombarded by orders and will get to me shortly. I finally was seated at a table at 9:00pm. The table has not been wiped down yet and the dishes from the last guests were still on the table, half eaten. We had to wait a further 15 minutes for the table to be cleaned and then the menu was finally handed to us. I was shocked by how poor and slow the service was. I mentioned to the manager that he should invest more into getting more staff, as they were clearly understaffed. He said he didn't expect this much attention to come from one instagram reel. Now I understand the reel got a lot of views, but that is no excuse for poor management. My table made a reservation in advance, it was a Saturday night, of course you knew you'll be busy. Most restaurants are busy on Saturday nights. It's not an excuse. The front of house performed badly tonight. Food took time to be served and many times we had to remind the front of staff to bring items that were requested over 30 minutes ago. We never even received the drinks that we ordered. I think they forgot about it. Very unhappy with the level of service given. The food was good but the bad taste from the poor service didn't let me enjoy the food properly. It was difficult to even get the staffs attention as they knew they were overworked. The waitress that was serving us, she mentioned it was her third shift. So clearly, management need to do a better job with staffing the venue effectively, especially during busy periods (Saturday nights). The place has a lot of potential, I hope management takes this feedback as a chance to improve and not as an insult. All the best to the India Burrp team. I am giving an overall 1 star rating due to the poor level of service. I will return in the future for another meal in the hopes that service will improve...

I believe my family got food poisoning from Indian Burrp last night. We had a large takeaway order on a quiet night (no seated customers no takeaway customers when I was there staff sitting at table at the back at 8 o'clock). I made a large order of dishes and when home was not happy with onion bargy as overly burnt and greasy and saffron rice which cost more when looking like yellow food dye added. After the meal many of my family felt ill myself included. Heavy uncomfortable in the stomach. During the night my daughter rushed out of her room vomiting on the floor -the dinner she had eaten. I put two and two together possible coming to five but thought she had been food poisoned like many of us as manifesting as biliousness. Look that word up girls and boys. So I decided that I should call the restaurant to let them know something was rotten in the state of Denmark so to speak. In clear plain language they had likely caused a food poisoning event and should get on to it as this is damaging, illegal and potentially fatal. My conversation with the manager is hard to relate as he did not take on board the feedback of an honest customer and he is a personable person face to face. He was patronizing claiming I had obviously had a bad day when voicing my concerns. He was adamant that the kitchen and practices there were above board and that it was open for inspection (I think) He tried to blame butter sauces or gluten allergies as a possible cause when he discussed the issue with his business partner. Of which my family have none. He kindly offered a free curry and onion bargy with delivery so I could check them. Unfortunately I explained that food poisoning tends to avoidance of the source. I was most amazed by the lack of self analysis and criticism thinking this was toxic for a business trying to do good, which I believe they are. I did get angry and said they were living in la la land. A cautionary tale of business perhaps. Take on board honest heart felt feedback and dig deep why did this...
