Daniyeru's Detailed Review:
Food 0.5/5 *Ordered the 1/2 Chicken. When I opened it, the chicken was borderline white/tinges of pink when inspected at certain angles. It's the white colour you get right after the pink turns white, its a certain texture only chef/hospitality professionals can tell. *Opening out the breast as mentioned above, proved that texture to be throughout. *Looking at the drumstick, I could confirm this was that same, but the drumstick didn't make it past the cooking point. It was pink and uncooked. That's all there is to it. (I am an accredited chef and operate successful businesses in Hospitality) *Manager tried to argue that it is a thigh and it should be pink. Yes, pink when uncooked in raw state, but not in the texture in the photos. That was only in the surface of the drumstick too, didn't even go deep. I didn't bother with a debate. Perhaps invest in more secure proof methods to ensure your chicken is not undercooked rather than trying to educate thighs are pink are edible. See photos. Enough probdbly said. *Garlic dip is the only item I could get my mouth onto. It had that home made, whipped texture. Dip itself was up there maybe 4/5, but on the grand scale of things, this is not a food item. To be fair, it would be 0.5/5.
Customer Service 5/5 *Service was attentive, acknowledged almost immediately. Service to the end was polite and respectful in a friendly manner.
Value 0/5 *For what I paid (about $19 for half a chicken and a garlic dip and what I received (raw drumstick) and possible case of serious food poisoning, I can't say anyone would like to pay $19 to get sick or recommend.
Atmosphere 4/5 *Cool vibe, typical take out establishment you'll find at any other charcoal chicken shop. This has a modern fit out so it's a nice change compared to the older fit outs. Staff here are chill too.
Overall *Mistakes happen. You just own up to it, rework the procedures to ensure it doesn't happen again. Trying to convince me that raw chicken is not...

Splitting the sides with my mate, it was $21.75pp!
REVIEW: ❤ My favourite part of Kenny's Charcoal Chicken were their chips. I'm had some pieces with those craggily bits with incredibly crunch. 💥 Needless to say, they were perfectly salted. I'm definitely coming back for more!!
➖ The gravy was the weakest aspect for me. It was too watery and could perhaps be seen as the chic healthy alternative to the guilt-inducing gravy. I think there were also smaller carrot pieces in the gravy! Kenny's version is great if you're not into the traditional gloopy textured type. But I am. 😆
Overall, the charcoal chicken was pretty good. No need to wait too long for chicken because they keep a steady eye on their supply! 🔥 However as another reviewer mentioned - would've loved if there was stuffing for the chicken. 🥺
Service was friendly and I loved the casual atmosphere. Tables were clean and we were offered PRISTINE plastic utensils for dining in. No kidding - they're probably the sturdiest, whitest plastic utensils I've ever used. I wouldn't mind dining in more if all fast food stores offered this quality...
Read moreDO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. Some genius put a cardboard box with hot food in a sealed plastic bag (in 2024, seriously?), condensation made the food wet and soggy when it arrived. They definitely should opt for powder gravy because the gravy we received had lumps of gelatinous fat and was quite possibly the most disgusting thing I’ve ever had.
Edit: In response to your much more passive aggressive response – if you don’t like (and evidently can’t handle) criticism, don’t go into business with a garbage product. After straining the gravy we received, 1/3 of it was congealed fat, tasted like dirty dish water, was inedible and yes! Disgusting! While delivery is (obviously) going to alter food quality, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to first and foremost not be using plastic bags, but also to seal it so tight we had to cut into the bag where everything was wet. Rest assured we won’t be ordering from here again, and if this is how you conduct business, I hope you’re closed down. How immature.
For the record, the order was delivered with priority, and was refunded as Uber agreed that this was...
