KFC Collins St — Restaurant in Melbourne

Feedback on Unsanitary Conditions and Staff Conduct for KFC @Southern cross station I am writing to express my serious concerns regarding the hygiene practices observed during my recent visit. During my visit, I encountered a highly concerning situation where the individual serving had visible signs of illness, including a runny nose, and did not adhere to basic hygiene practices such as wearing gloves. Additionally, I observed another staff member touching their face and handling both money and food without taking appropriate precautions.

Due to these unsanitary conditions, I felt compelled to discard the food I had purchased, out of concern for my health and safety. These lapses in hygiene standards are deeply disappointing and raise serious questions about the establishment's commitment to customer well-being.

When I requested to speak with the store manager to provide feedback, I was further dismayed by the response. The manager seemed indifferent and stated that staff members are not required to wear or change gloves. This is unacceptable, especially when I witnessed a staff member wiping their nose and then directly handling food items.

I hope you will address these issues promptly to ensure better hygiene practices and improved customer care in the future.

I went to this branch for dinner and ordered 10 chicken pieces. The young lady with glasses (which I could not tell the name as she didnt have any name tag on) had an un-welcoming attitude towards the customers. We also couldnt customize the parts of chicken we want even though what i ordered was reasonable in my opinion as she claimed that everything is random. She also was acting rather impolitely where she just threw the paper bag into the counter, although, another staff saw and helped me put my ordered in the bag so that was all good. The place overall was really messy and the trash was overflowing into the floor. I hope you guys could improve the service in the near future. Its a poor thing as this place has good potential due to the location. Not only that, i really hope you guys can bring potato and gravy to the menu as you guys only serve the gravy. This is a pretty new store, so there are always trainees there. They never have potato and gravy and they constantly give you the wrong chicken piece, like if you say you don't want wings or if you say you want a thigh or breast piece they give you the wrong one.

I haven't dared try to order anything more complicated than that but I see other people rolling their eyes a lot when they get their orders.

Really, it is in such a convenient place and the shop itself is nice and new, the manager really needs to properly train people ORDER A BATCH OF POTATO AND GRAVY and fully explain things to their staff.
