The worst service. They serve pickles with in-dine bagels but they will charge you for one piece of pickle for the same bagel, even if they keep it in display for self-serve. However, they will interrupt you and ask for money for the same thing that is included in the bagel price during dine-in. What a scam!
Response to your response - You keep the pickle at the counter where the order gets picked up and that is accessible and gives the impression it's for self-service, you might need to reconsider your understanding of a restricted place. Again, why the hell you are servicing pickles for no extra cost during dine-in even without asking for it and charging money for the same during the takeaway? I have dine-in a few times and every time pickles come with the order without asking. I had taken away order from your place only two times and it's a false accusation that I had taken away order many times. I gave a review of what your business is doing that is charging for something that is included in dine-in every time but needs to pay for away orders. It's called a scam! P.S. I will do an Instagram review as well.
Response to your second response - You are straight-up lying. So this is what you do lie about your service. Why donโt do take out the CCTV footage and see if there any conversation after I took the pickle for the first time. First you said itโs a restricted place now you are saying you had informed which just show you run a scam. But you are not answering why the hell you are charging for something which is free during dine in? Liar liar business on ๐ฅ!
This liar is obsessed with me I guess, sending following request in Instagram and following open account. Stalker! Don't you have something better to do than stalking me in social media? And nope! Not spending a single penny on a scammer like you. You also know you serve pickles during dine in with out asking. I never asked for pickles in dine-in, you put it anyways and if it was not free then why didn't you charge in dine-in? As I had dine in more than two times pick up. After all this conversation also you are not able to give a simple answer why you are charging for something that is free in Dine in. You are just coming up with more lies, in every respond you statement is changing. Karma will come to you for all your lies! Stop stalking, stalker! Let's take it to the...
ย ย ย Read moreIโm genuinely shocked and disappointed by my experience at Schmucks Bagels. I ordered the truffle schnitzel bagel in early July 2025, and within hours, I began feeling violently ill. The symptoms worsened overnight, and by the next day, I was in hospital, suffering from intense abdominal pain rated 8 out of 10, along with severe diarrhoea and cramps that left me completely drained.
This is the first time I have been to this place.
Following medical tests, my doctor diagnosed me with Campylobacter, a bacterial infection most commonly caused by undercooked or poorly handled chicken. While the chicken in the bagel appeared cooked, something was clearly not right. Whether it was cross-contamination, improper storage, or incorrect cooking methods, the result was a serious and preventable illness.
Even now, several days later, I am still dealing with bowel inflammation and ongoing pain. This experience has disrupted my life, required emergency medical care, and left me physically and emotionally shaken. All of it could have been avoided with proper food safety practices.
Schmucks needs to take immediate action to improve how they prepare and cook their food, especially chicken. Safe food handling is a basic expectation in any restaurant. Whether it involves better training, more rigorous kitchen hygiene, or stricter temperature controls, something is clearly not being done right.
Until real changes are made, I strongly recommend avoiding any chicken-based items at Schmucks. What I experienced was frightening, painful, and completely unnecessary. I hope this review prevents it from happening to...
ย ย ย Read moreEdit reply..... no in no way was it parbaked.. and if it was they should say that they said when i asked it was because not toasted.. not not par baked.. like i say i am a baker so dont try and lie your way out of this.
Im absoloutey appalled if i could give minus 5 stars i would...i am a professional baker just to start off with. But..... The bagels are DAYS OLD. Literally its rock hard and their exuse is because its not toasted. Please give me a break. Maybe to someone who does not know how to make bagels but to me i see through the lies. The bagel was literally rock hard there was no bouncy push back like you should get on supposedly fresh bread and bagels. They serve old stale leftovers. And it has to be atleast 2 maybe 3 days old. Bagels dont last well not if u care about freshness but to sell them like that..i can only imgaine how bad the rest is if they sell old bagels im sure everything else will be just the same old and disgusting to save...
