Super bad experience! Came a few times and every time the manager is telling customers off just for BRINGING food in but they were not even eating it.

The first time I came, there was a table of 6 and everyone ordered their dishes. There was a girl bought sushi for snack maybe to eat later or take home, the manager told her off just because she put it on the table! How ridiculous.

This time, me and my friend made dessert from home for our friend and we met at the restaurant. We had the dessert nicely packed in a container and we gave it to her. We just put it on the table and we went straight to order and was just catching up with our friend. The manager, same guy, came to us and ASSUMED that we will have the dessert in HIS store when we just leaving it on the table and the lid was CLOSED! He gave us a LONG speech and was being very rude. I said to him nicely that it’s a homemade food that we are giving to my friend and we are not eating it as we aware that there is the “no outside food and drinks sign”. He still kept on going and was not having it. He asked us to put it away and we did and at that point we didn’t want to waste time argue and ruin our mood.

THIS WAS NOT THE END! When we were close to finishing our food, he came up to us AGAIN and said “ Do you know the reason why I told you guys about no food allowed? Because what if there is any poisoning in your dessert and you want me to be responsible for it” Bruh chill out, it’s just a $20/person meal, we are not gonna waste time on these. And he also said that the fact that I said “ HOMEMADE”, he is even more upset because what if anything in it is not good. OMG HE THINKS WE ARE GOING TO POISON OUR FRIEND. And he said because I said homemade, he assumed that we are going to have it in his store. Maybe go on dictionary and search what does HOMEMADE mean? Does it say anything about having in store?

THIS IS RIDICULOUS He could have asked us nicely about not putting outside food on the table, instead of NAGGING about a little thing twice.

At the end of the day, we are still your customer, not your own kids that you can educate non stop at home!!!!!

For ppl that going to go in the future, just a kind reminder, hide your outside food, especially homemade, INCASE ITS...

Kimchi & Bab - Caulfield, Melbourne⁣ Kimchi jjigae Spicy stew⁣ It’s not often I review Korean soups so I was very excited to try Caulfield based Kimchi & Bab! Kimchi - a delicious fermented Korean dish can absolutely get in and around my mouth at any occasion. I was excited to give the Kimchi Jjigae a try as well as many of their other amazing looking dishes. This place was PACKED for a Monday night and with the average prices of dishes being $15 including sides my wallet was smiling up at me from my pants pocket. The Jjigae arrived at the table with an enchanting bubbling look about it - the smells of the chili and kimchi based broth emanating all around us. I was very stoked to notice an abundance of ingredients. Some good quality pork, zucchini, silky tofu and whatever else deliciousness was in there including their signature kimchi. This was absolutely delicious - the dish was bursting with umami goodness and had a nice amount of sourness from the fermentation. It was a taste sensation and for $15 including sides of rice, tofu and salad I was very very impressed. I’ll definitely be back to this restaurant. The staff were friendly and the meals were plentiful. Delicious stuff. ⁣ 🥢🥢🥢🥢🥢⁣ Broth Flavour: 🍜🍜🍜🍜/5⁣ Soup ingredients: 🍜🍜🍜🍜.5/5⁣ Service: 🍜🍜🍜🍜/5⁣ Overall: 🍜🍜🍜🍜.5/5⁣ 🥢🥢🥢🥢🥢

I ordered the deep-fried chicken with curry.

The chicken: 7 out of 10. It's very tasty and well cooked. My only cons are the amount, and a little more would be better.

The kimchi: 6 out of 10. Not too fermented and spicy hot. I would prefer a little more fermented and hot. And too little the amount they gave me.

The curry sauce. 7 out of 10. Very yummy and balanced. My only cons are that they put too much sauce, look like soup, and floating the rice and chicken. I would put less sauce and more chicken.

The Staff: it is ok, nothing special, but it is what is expected.

The atmosphere. Nice and cosy. Not fancy but very clean and organised.

The price. A little expensive, paid $17. The good thing is they included a small salad and some side dishes. Very yummy.

Thank you so much. I definitely recommend it. I...

We had our meal here and from the start he’s been arguing about the food we brought in, we didn’t take a single bite, it was sitting in a container on the table, a little present brought from my friend. After he told us the first time, we placed the food on the seat, but he came back to argue with us claiming that because we said is homemade we were going to eat it in his store, I don’t understand where this came from? And he started lecturing us on the food we brought in, still we didn’t take a single bite throughout our whole meal we didn’t touch it even. This is all when we finished their food and were just sitting there when he came back for the lecture. Therefore, I strongly suggests that no one come cuz the service is trash and can make your mood super dooper bad after a whole day of uni.

Loved the experience ! The bulgogi on a sizzling hot plate was juicy, tender, and well-marinated with onions and spring onions—super satisfying! It came with an amazing spread of banchan (side dishes) like kimchi, spicy fish cake, bean sprouts, and tofu with sauce. Every bite had a nice balance of spice, sweetness, and umami. The ramyeon was warm and comforting, with just the right kick of spice, and the kimbap rolls were fresh and tightly packed. We also had a rice bowl with beef that paired perfectly with the sides. The portion sizes were great for sharing, and the overall experience felt like a real Korean comfort meal. Definitely a must-visit spot if you're craving authentic Korean cuisine at a good price! Also, the staffs were very friendly. Wonderful experience ! Will visit soon.
