Our old time favorite restaurant that my son planned to celebrate his 13teen bday. We gave the cake requesting not to put it in the fridge. Our booking was at 7:30 we ordered our first drink at 7:45 and ordered another drink at 7:55 when we were about to order another drink at 8:09 we were told that drink order was closed even though it was still 6 mins to close the drink order. We thought not to spoil our evening so continued with food We did not question that the last order for drinks was at 8:15. We finished our Dinner and requested for cake we were given our cake in a box, I had to request for knife and lighter. When we asked for plates at 8:50 to eat cake the manger Mint( who was extremely rude) said it was 10 mins to close and that she could not give us plates to eat cake. She said she was not aware of serving the cake and my question to her was why would we bring a bday cake and-request you to put it on the side till we have dinner. We ended up having an argument with the manager and all I would suggest to the owner of this place, food is amazing but your staff showed that they were not at all interested to be there on the labour day holiday in-spite of we paying surcharge and they getting paid more than usual. The most awful experience to celebrate our son’s...
Read moreMy partner and I visit Kinn Thai almost weekly and the last few times have been very hit and miss to say the least. We decided to give it one last shot tonight which proved us right. To start we ordered Satay skewers, curry puffs, roti bread and a serving of satay sauce. The roti bread and satay sauce were freezing cold. We then ordered mains our mains which were Wagyu beef (medium), chicken peanut sauce stir fry, steamed rice, an Asahi beer and another serving of satay sauce which we asked to make sure it was hot this time (it came out even colder than the first serving). When the mains came, the Wagyu beef was chewy and cold, we asked to have it re-cooked and it came back well done and tough. Whilst waiting for my steak to be warmed up in what I guess was in a microwave we started on the peanut chicken, at the bottom of the plate the chicken was still semi frozen. When we complained about this we said we don’t want the dish anymore but we’re told that they cannot accept that and what they will be doing is simply heating it back up and returning it to our table. Ontop of that our beverage that we ordered was never served. The customer service is horrible, the staff is rude and the food...
Read moreFood & cocktails are always delicious, can’t fault that! Service is a bit slow & not very efficient, recently took half the tables orders & brought out their entrees without even taking the other half of the tables orders. The last 3-4 visits service & attitude has been a bit disappointing, they weren’t very friendly & when you ask for something, the looks given makes you feel like it’s an inconvenience & they rush you out the door on a weeknight even with a large group of 16 of us spending a lot for my daughter’s 30th birthday & again on my birthday. Was not told when booking that they would be closing early otherwise we would’ve booked to start earlier to have longer there with all the friends & family that had come from a distance. They give you bamboo/wooden disposable spoons to eat birthday cake with which tastes awful & ruins the taste of the cake probably to save doing dishes at thevend of the night so we’ve had to ask for real spoons each time. Also very disappointing when you spend nearly $900 at dinner & they still charge you 50c each for 2 - 3 plastic containers & also for 50c a plastic bag for the leftovers! Recommend for the food as it’s delicious but not the...
