We're recommended to try the following banquet set "Kasumi Ildulgence" and drinks: Drinks Monkey Business (cocktail) I was intriqued to try this cocktail as soon as I read the name. It's a combination of Wu Liangye Chinese liquor, Campari, Banana Liqueur, Light Cream. The taste was pretty good from those combination and unique, we've never tried similar drink like this before. It was a great experience and ambigu taste in the good way as you're wondering what they taste was.

Hanamura It was fruity and flowery taste of drink, inside they put goji berry and sweet osmanthus flowery. The taste was fantastic and refreshing. It had little bit sour and sweet taste. Anyway, it was splendid and very recommended the non-alcoholic drink.

Starter: Chef's assorted seasonal platter. On that day, we've got 3 stacks of glass dish consisting of fresh seaweed, radish and crumbed smoked pork belly with shredded chilli. The pork belly was amazing; It was well deep fried, crunchy from outside and tender inside. It wasn't greasy or oily. The taste was very balance and the texture was great. It's small size of smoked pork belly but for sure it's a great starter to increase your appetite for the next treat.

Cold Appetizer Angus Beef Tataki Flamed black angus scotch fillet, sliced served with fried garlic, onion and garlic vinaigrette. They have a creative way to serve the beef tataki using the garlic. It had little bit sour and savoury taste and it was very refreshing. The beef was very soft and tender. For those who don't really like garlic or onions, maybe it's not the best option to choose. But for those who don't mind having little bit strong garlic taste, this beautiful dish was definitely recommended. Personally, it's one of our favorites.

Salmon Tartar with Crispy Rice The salmons were generously and freshly served on top of crispy seasoned rice. The dish had pretty good texture and well presented. Remember to dip with the avocado sauce before you eat that to make this taste even sophisticated great.

Hot Appetizer Nama Shii Hotate Mashed baby scallop served with quail eggs and topped with shiitake mushrooms. Yummm, I wish I could order this more. The scallop was blended in perfectly with quail eggs, I reckon it's creative idea to combine those ingredients. Presentation wise was alright, but the taste was outstanding, perfect balance. It was a perfect option for a vegetarian.

Prosciutto Wrapped Oysters Fresh oysters in tempura style wrapped with prosciutto and home made sauce. On the other hand, this dish was also flavourful and Nice presentation. Personally, we loved Nama Shii Hotate compared to prosciutto :)

Sushi Entree Deluxe Sushi Selection (4 pcs) Very generous portion of sushi sashimi. On that day, we've got Salmon, King Fish, Snapper, Tuna and Caviar. They're all freshly served and the taste was stunning.

Main Wagyu Steak Wagyu sirloin, grilled and served with mushroom miso sauce. The wagyu steak was perfectly grilled and well seasoned. Again, the chef nailed all beef dishes. Loved the quality of the beef served as it was really good and premium.

Miso Crusted Lamb Cutlet Grilled lamb cutlets with miso crust and topped with crispy spinach. The lamb was nicely cooked and well seasoned. However, we found that it was slightly tough and not so tender. Surely, it's not the best we've ever tried.

All dishes were beautifully presented and very appealing. Overall, we had great dine experiences and considered as one of the best Japanese degustation experiences we’ve had so far. In addition, it was an absolutely great value for this amazing quality of food and definitely you'll get great experience by having their 10 course menu "Kasumi Ildulgence" for $125.00 (a unique served of starter, cold appetiser, cold hot, sushi / sashimi plates, tempura, soup, mushroom rice, main dish and dessert.

Yay: Banquet set "Kasumi Ildulgence" was amazing

Service: 5.0 Taste:...

Wow what can I say this place literally knocked my socks off. The epitome of fine dining Japanese cuisine.

Our table provided a great view of the sashimi chef who I gazed at in rapture as he sliced away with the precision of a surgeon. We started off with a round of cocktails, I had to try the kasumi slipper which was a delicious rendition but also sampled the iced tea which was garnished with popcorn that imparted a deliciously unique flavour. I also enjoyed the Eill and Sakura which was beautifully presented to resemble the French flag.

The drinks only got better as we sampled the mocktails with the watermelon pina colada and the ‘your name’ which was hands down my favourite concoction. It’s a secret recipe and a must try. If you can work out the ingredients please let me know! We engaged in the ten course indulgence menu (and what an indulgence it was).

I was absolutely awestruck by the beauty of each dish that came to the table. Immaculate attention to detail not only in terms of presentation but also composition and balance of such delicate flavours. And the gold leaf garnish provided an even greater wow factor. I’ve only ever seen gold leaf on deserts so it was a lovely surprise on the flawless sushi.

My personal favourites from the cold appetiser section were the Angus beef tataki and the salmon tartare. There was a lovely sauce on the tataki and the salmon paired with the creamy avocado was heavenly. A winning combination. In the hot appetiser section I loved the deep friend chicken with homemade mayonnaise. It had a yummy subtle kick to it and was very moorish.

I didn’t even know there was such a thing as King George sashimi but when it’s as fresh as it at Miss Kasumi (they buy it every day) its an absolute delight to eat. A great addition to the faultless sashimi course. My only criticism of any of the amazing courses we had was the tempura batter being a bit too thick.

The mains were stellar. The wafu porterhouse was absolutely sensational and the miso poached salmon just spectacular. Delicately poached with a delicious subtle flavour. The chefs dessert changes daily and we had a summery mango sorbet with coconut cream topped by a profiterole and a mini macaron. It was utterly the perfect way to finish the meal. Just super light and refreshing. Not particularly Japanese though which I suppose is where the contemporary aspect comes into it (and it certainly factors in the exquisite presentation).

We had all expected the dessert to be something matcha related so we were overjoyed to see something totally different, particularly given most of us at the table weren’t green tea lovers. I adored this experience so much I’ve already recommended a colleague at work make a booking stat for his next date night. I can’t remember eating a better...

Zero star review Waste time, Waste money and horrible service( specific of the Chinese manager), feed me in 90mins but first order can do 15 mins when arrive than 30 mins later first serve come so keep waiting until 1.15 hours to order more ( the waitress said you are not the only one table in the restaurant i have to look after another table , seriously!! We just ask can we order more because you leave our table over 1 hours already)30mins than second serve come almost 2:30 hours. with the food that we didn't choose. The managers said it isn't our fault because it is a main dish so it take long to cook ( 1.30 hour for steak and overcook as well) tell us you can sit if it over the time limit ( 2 hours) but nearly 9pm we said we can't stay here overnight it is nearly 3 hour. She say we cook by our order first to last when im check it come from last to first ( doesn't matter ) They skip our order like salmon and prawn. Never say sorry , yelling and rude and said it isn't restaurant problem. Oh I understand now it should be my fault to come here with my friends ( big group 8 pp) we had less than 50% of food we were ordered and 1 dish of some menu is 1 pieces and 2.30 hour your waitress offer us to cancel we don't we to waste food as well than we accepted because it was so late no customers go for dinner to waiting a food for 2.30 hours, said it is a peak time but I see only 5-6 tables on that night. ( all small table 2-4 people) For all you can eat restaurant it is so busy? Thank you for offer to seat over time but nearly 3 hour for 1 hour eat then 1 hour wait and serve nearly 9pm again however we are reading your policy before we go and speak very politely to you but you yelling us and always say it is not my fault when people ready they know what is the point...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Miss Kasumi located at 341 High St Kew, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted warmly by the staff and immediately felt welcomed. The ambiance of the restaurant is inviting, with its modern yet cozy decor, making it the perfect setting for a memorable dining experience. Now onto the food – it was simply outstanding. Each dish was meticulously prepared, bursting with flavor and fresh ingredients. From the sushi to the sashimi, every bite was a delight to the senses. I was particularly impressed with the creativity and attention to detail that went into each dish. Not only was the food exceptional, but the service was top-notch as well. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and eager to ensure that my dining experience was nothing short of perfect. The waiting staff exhibited exceptional friendliness, offering thoughtful recommendations for children's meals. Their warm smile and engaging demeanor with the children, including embracing them before our departure, enhanced our overall dining experience remarkably, How amazing experience we have Whether you're a sushi aficionado or simply looking for a fantastic dining experience, I highly recommend Miss Kasumi. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

Miss Kasumi is a well presented restaurant with a good venue and location. The decor provides for a modern elegant atmosphere. Food taste good and looks fantastic. My recommendation is their signature seafood udon - both taste and texture is 10/10. I would skip the truffle chicken for 2 reasons, 1 you cannot taste or smell the truffles and the chicken is...well without the truffle aspect it was just grilled chicken. They offered house sake which was also enjoyable. Our dining experience would have scored 5 stars if it weren’t for their poor customer service. One of our guest were 5 mins early prior to opening and was told off by a staff and walked away. He could have been more friendly and offered her to sit at the bar given it the venue is opened with staff already present? Also we had to go out of our way to draw waiters attention to get soy sauce it was not delivered along with a sashimi dish. I feel their staff requires some serious training and improvement to not let down an otherwise very nice restaurant offering good food.
