I recently had the pleasure of dining at Kolonaki Athenian Street Food, and I must say, it was an absolute feast for the senses! From the moment I stepped into this charming restaurant, I knew I was in for a culinary adventure like no other. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, with a delightful blend of modern elegance and a hint of traditional Greek charm.

What truly sets Kolonaki Athenian Street Food apart is their unwavering commitment to using high-quality ingredients. Each dish that graced my table was a testament to their dedication to providing a memorable dining experience. From the first bite to the last, the flavors were simply exquisite.

The menu at Kolonaki Athenian Street Food showcases the very best of Greek cuisine, prepared with meticulous attention to detail. The selection of dishes is diverse and caters to a range of tastes, from traditional classics to creative contemporary creations. Whether you're a devout foodie or new to Greek cuisine, you're bound to find something that will make your taste buds dance with delight.

Two dishes that truly stood out was the platter for two, coupling, flavorful ground meat, and coupling with the ancient grain salad, it was a true masterpiece. The flavors harmonized perfectly, creating a symphony of taste that left me wanting more. The souvlaki was equally impressive, with succulent grilled meats perfectly seasoned and served with a refreshing tzatziki sauce.

The service at Kolonaki Athenian Street Food was exemplary. The staff members were attentive, friendly, and passionate about their craft. They went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of my dining experience was flawless, offering recommendations and answering any questions I had with genuine enthusiasm.

The ambiance of the restaurant is warm and inviting, with a contemporary yet cozy décor that sets the stage for a memorable meal. Whether you choose to dine indoors or take advantage of the outdoor seating, you'll find yourself immersed in an atmosphere that is both lively and comfortable.

In conclusion, Kolonaki Athenian Street Food is a true gem in Melbourne. With their commitment to using high-quality ingredients and their mastery of Greek flavors, they have created a dining experience that is nothing short of extraordinary. If you find yourself craving a taste of Greece, this is the place to be. Prepare to be dazzled by their amazing food and leave with a newfound appreciation for Athenian street...

I visited Kolonaki Athenian Street Food in September 2025 with some friends on a Saturday afternoon around 3pm. Parking was easy and we found plenty of free street spots nearby. Plus a small lot that was also free on weekends. Public transport is a breeze too, with trams running along Glenferrie Road and Malvern Station a short walk away.

The restaurant sits on a street corner with a few outdoor tables, and inside it’s cosy and welcoming. The smell of the food hit us as soon as we walked in. There’s a counter at the front for ordering and drinks, with a neat line of tables that had plenty of space for our group of four. The service was so friendly and helpful from the moment we ordered.

I went for the garlic lamb wrap, which came out within about 15–20 minutes and was honestly amazing! Super juicy lamb, packed with flavour, and the extra onion I asked for (which they really delivered on!). It was a little greasy, but in the best way. One of my friends ordered the same wrap but with halloumi added, another went for a mixed gyros, and we all shared a bowl of sweet potato fries. Everything looked beautiful, was presented really well, and tasted fantastic. My friends were just as impressed, they kept complimenting the food the whole way through, even the chips were a hit.

The atmosphere was buzzing for a Saturday afternoon, with the restaurant full of happy patrons. The decor is cute and warm, making it feel really inviting on what was otherwise a dreary day outside. I couldn’t quite finish my wrap, but they happily provided a little box so I could take the rest home. My friends, on the other hand, polished theirs off with no trouble at all.

For a group of four, we spent under $80 in total, which felt very reasonable for the serving sizes and quality of food. Between the great flavours, friendly service, and cosy vibe, Kolonaki is an absolute gem in Malvern. If you’re into Greek food or just looking for a good meal in the area, I highly recommend giving...

I ordered chicken skewers and greek salad and was told it was a 15 to 20 minute wait. At 25 minutes I asked the young guy at the counter if he could check if my food had been forgotten because I was watching people who had ordered after me leave with theirs. He repeated the order back and didn't check . Following that conversation, another lady walked in, ordered food, paid for it, got her food and mouthed a sorry to me on the way out and so I was pretty mad by then. I pointed out the 35 min wait and got a look of "you are so demanding (and explanation- it's the chicken skewers, they take a long time). The group around me at that point, planning on eating in, actually walked out. At 40 mins, my food arrived. If you want to eat here, order uber or eat in. They prioritise uber eats over take away. As for a 40 minute wait, I was at the point of walking out without it and was going to say that, but I got mad at the explanation and grimace as if I were being unreasonable, so I changed my conversation to "Move". That was just not cool. That needs a new process guys. That's a business. Sort it out. That's not me being unreasonable - that's on you. You cannot tell someone that it's a 15 to 20 min wait and then make it 40 mins. That's super bad. You gotta come up with a better plan for those take away chicken skewers!!!!!! (and you should probably refund after 40 minutes of waiting) I will take this down after someone who owns this business reads it, and fixes the process because to have that response to asking if my food was forgotten wasn't great. It just wasn't great - nor is the chicken skewer food production line for take away orders. It was going to be a happy night with some good food and it just wasn't. Be great....

Fantastic place for amazing Greek feast! If you love your grilled meats and gyros/souvlaki, you definitely need to visit this place! We had: PLATTER FOR 2 Lamb Gyros, Chicken Gyros, Loukaniko (Pork Sausage), Saganaki, Pita Bread, Chips & Greek Salad *We love absolutely everything on this platter, and definitely loving that Loukaniko! KOTO BACON Chicken & Bacon Skewers - yumm🥰 CHICKEN SKEPASTI Chicken Gyros Sandwiched Between 2 Pita Breads. Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato, Onions, Kolonaki Sauce, Mozzarella Cheese & Chips *again, so delicious! HALLOUMI CHIPS - a bit salty but still quite delish For dessert, we had: BAKLAVA Layered pastry dessert made of filo pastry, filled with chopped variety of nuts, and sweetened with syrup *loving all the layers of nuts bits, crunch and sweetness of the syrup. Not too sweet for me, which was good! GALAKTOBOUREKO Semolina custard baked in filo pastry. *deliciously smooth custard😍 Great service and knowledgeable staff to recommend dishes 👏☺️ Highly recommended Greek food in Malvern and surroundings!👍🏻

Ohhhhhh my gosh I think I’ve found my fave greek casual dining spot in Melbs! 🤌🏼 It is a take on Athenian Greek Street Food I’ve been trying a few spots lately and this place definitely takes the cake not only for taste but for value! The servings were honestly huge! We took half home and had it for dinner the next night The skepasti was incredible! It had chicken gyros, bacon, mozzarella, lettuce, tomatoes and onions along with their kolonaki sauce! Literally a bite of heaven The gyros plate was sooo tender and full of flavour, the Greek salad added a great contrast of freshness and the pita was sooo soft and delicious! The Haloumi chips were divine and the dip oh my, I could eat it for days- spicy, creamy and a great hit of capsicum. It paired so well with the haloumi to break down the richness 😍 The saganaki was perfectly flavoured and one of the best I have had!! We could understand why this place was so packed on a Tuesday night, the food was amazing, the service was super friendly and we will definitely be back for sure!!
