From the moment you walk in the door, Andy and his team strive to go ‘above and beyond’ … it’s a warm friendly welcome as you arrive and continues right through til you leave . We’ve been to Uosan several times and never been disappointed., impressive personalised service, it’s a great place The food is always fresh , well cooked, and tastes great . Good quality ingredients given the respect they deserve ! The atmosphere is buzzing yet relaxing , setting is comfortable and unpretentious.. We had the new chefs special last night , grilled beef eye fillet with king prawn and whole squid .. great.. menu is extensive and has all the Japanese classics you’d hope for , it’s hard to select a favourite.. Miso cod,.. cooked to perfection ! Soft shell crab.. very good Tempura,.. light & crispy Sashimi,.. sensational, fresh Grilled beef,.. MR perfection, tender Eggplant,.. very good Seared Scallops,.. perfect! Sake,.. good quality, served on ice Service,.. friendly, cheerful, efficient , Overall , The experience of Uosan is hard to beat and would be hard to improve Uosan ticks all the boxes, it’s a classy Japanese restaurant that offers great product and service

This was our first visit to Uosan restaurant.Booking has been made for 4 people.  Restaurant has inside and outside sitting. It's decorated with modern touch.

When we arrived about 7 pm it was aready nearly full.

As we decided to share all meals we have ordered various entries, such as prawn tempura gyozas, edamame, kingfish carpaccio, tuna carrpaccio, nasu dengaku. Main meals we have ordeted have been  spicy calamari,  whole eel kabayak, chicken tonkatsu, salmon saikyoyaki anddessert plater and sesame cream daifuku. We have quite enjoyed ambient and foods.

But there is definitely room for improving. Service could be improved. Topping up water and not forget eggplant ordered for instance. Other things are we were missing wasabi and ginger as well as soy sauce. None has been complimenting our meals.

Desert was so small and price was higher then in other similar Japanese restaurants. Still, I would probably...

We were blown away by the whole experience! The restaurant itself was immaculate, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that immediately set the tone for the evening. The food was absolutely outstanding – beautifully presented, fresh, and bursting with flavour. Every dish we tried felt crafted with care.

What stood out even more was the service. The staff were attentive without being intrusive, and the owner showed genuine kindness and integrity. My partner accidentally left his wallet behind, and we assumed it was gone for good. To our surprise, the owner personally reached out and returned it to us – a gesture that speaks volumes about their honesty and customer care.

Between the incredible food, the meticulous environment, and the heartfelt service, this place is a true gem. 100% recommend and will definitely...
