I used to love this place, but the long lines often make me skip it. Last night, however, there were only a few people ahead of us (about 3 or 4 orders of crepes).

Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The staff member taking orders was a bit rude and didn't acknowledge us when we came up to the counter. It seemed like she was training someone, which is fine, but she was so focused on that task that she neglected the customers. When we asked about the wait time, she said it would be 10 minutes. We ordered one Nutella banana crepe and one banana with honey and peanut butter.

While watching them prepare our order, I noticed that the staff member handling the peeled bananas did so with her bare hands—no gloves or sanitizers in sight. When I pointed this out, she claimed she had used hand sanitizer beforehand, but I didn’t see her do this, as she was busy training or chatting with the other staff. She also mentioned she couldn’t put on gloves because she needed to stay with the trainee, though it seems it would have taken less than a minute to do so. Her response was dismissive, and although she offered to remake the order, we had already waited 20 minutes by then.

The crepes were a letdown: the edges were rough, with inconsistent textures—some parts were crunchy while others were soft. The Nutella tasted watered down. After just two bites, both crepes went straight to the bin. It felt like a waste of $23.

The staff definitely needs better training in both hygiene and...

I had a terrible day today. Went to my favourite crepe place here, thinking that it would make me feel better. I ordered my usual menu asking the staff to make it a bit crispy. When he was about to hand it to me, he judged me, saying things like “you know it is supposed to be soft not crispy right?”.

Why would you say something like that to a paying customer? Crispy or not crispy it’s really up to me how I wanted it to be. Everyone is different and it’s okay to have preference. I asked politely every time I came here and none of the previous staff members ever had any problem with it nor judged me for asking my crepe to be a little crispy.

Totally ruined my impression of the place. Is sad that my favourite crepe place ridiculed me like that on my awful day. Sorry but you just lost a...

I have had crepes here multiple times. Generally the experience has been okay. Crepes are a tad pricey $7.50 for nutella and banana probably considering you have to pay an extra dollar for a quarter of a banana. Overall its no big deal.

However skip this place if it looks like there is a line. They take ages to get to the order. Last time I had to wait 25 - 30 minutes to get two crepes and when we asked how long it would take they got all rude. Restaurants always tell you before ordering if the wait will be over 20 min so I don't see why it should be any different for a food vendor.

It was not so much the wait that soured the experience for me its the rudeness...

Now this place closes at 11 pm, So this was the perfect little late night dessert we were after, after walking off dinner! What a cute little pocket this is! We went straight for the sweet crepes, my friend had peanut butter and banana, I had lemon sugar and cinnamon.. both with light and sweet enough to warm us up in the cold night! There was a crowd waiting, but the duo behind the bar kept the flow going and was pumping these babies out.. and pumping cool tunes too! Came back and had to add a picture of them making the Flambés, Grandmariner & Fire with butter and cinnamon! Wow, interesting way to consume a hit of Rum but wow was it tasty and fun to watch them make! Level Up!

La Petite Creperie is a French Stall along Swanston street, Melbourne. The stall is right opposite Melbourne Town Hall which is 5 minutes walk away from Flinders Street Station and Federation Square. The stall serves a wide variety of French crepe including butter and sugar, nutella, maple syrup, etc. The price starts at AUD $5. There is another new branch in QV melbourne (QV mall). The crepe tastes good. Do check out my instagram @ roshan_arjun for more feeds. Cheers!

I super love this place!!!! You can't help but smile every time you pass by this little kiosk on Swanston Street footpath... The music, the guys who work there that send out positive energy with their laughs and friendly service!!! I ordered the Nutella crepe with banana... and it was the best thing I had in a very long time! Must visit if you are in the city. The queue can get a bit long, but trust me, it's all worth the wait. You will be entertained anyways!
