We stumbled upon this treasure last night after the lines to get into The London and RCH deterred the less committed punters.
With a ticking time bomb of back to back Carltons and Brookvale Lemon Squashes fermenting in my belly from a day at the G, the neon sign of 'tacos & margaritas' was a welcomed sight. An opportunity was realised to self sabotage myself into a food coma and put the handbrakes on an increasingly escalating night.
After a short wait in the line, we were seated at the bar. A round of crisp, cold and session-able South America export beers to start.
Overlooking the bar, with slightly blurred vision, we observed the chefs working on the hot plate. Chopping and moving combinations of searing meat in a sort of dance, reminiscent of the scene in Zorro with antonio banderas and catherine zeta jones.
It'd quickly become apparent that what we were witnessing was art.
The entree consisted of corn chips, tangy salsa and a decadent guac. Followed by beef empanadas that would stand tall amongst the various forms of deep fried breaded meat pockets on offer around the world. We shared the pork tacos and my only regret was that we didn't get more...
This was just foreplay to the main act. The Cubano Sandwich. Upon my first bite, dopamine instantly floods my nervous system, the Cuban bread was crispy on the outside but soft in the middle, both the roast pork and honey glazed ham perfectly complimented each other with the homemade pickles and mustard cut through the pork fat and cheese.
At some point, I transcended my own body into the metaphysical realm and watched myself eat the Cubano from a grand table that I shared with higher beings, one of the reached out to me and I saw all that ever was and all that ever will be occurring in a single point of time.
When I found myself back in my body, I felt an overwhelming sense peace and comfort. I haven't washed my...

It's easy to assume that this small bar is another hole in the wall-style bar, which opens up onto busy Swan Street. To our amazement however, a secret door, disguised as a vending machine, opens up to a hidden courtyard.
We ordered a refreshing Paloma cocktail and the Spicy Margarita, which undoubtedly has a real spicy kick to it.
The chargrilled Peruvian Chicken Wings ($13) with spicy Aji Amarillo salsa was a tasty entree that paired well with our cocktails. The pork tacos (3 servings for $18) were decent with its pineapple salsa. The Totopos & Gauc ($10) were unfortunately quite underwhelming and something we can easily whip up at home.
The staff at Lady T Bar were warm and friendly, and we loved the concept of the hidden courtyard. Definitely a bar worth...
