The Posty is one of Richmond’s best spots for pizza, hands down. Housed in a converted old post office, it has a rustic, laid-back charm that makes it just as good for a casual weeknight dinner as it is for a long, lively night out with friends.
The pizza here is excellent — wood-fired, perfectly cooked bases with just the right balance of crispness and chew, and toppings that are fresh, generous, and full of flavour. The menu strikes the perfect balance between classics like margherita and prosciutto, and more creative options that keep things interesting. Every pizza feels carefully put together, never rushed, and always satisfying.
Beyond the pizzas, The Posty also has a solid selection of sides, drinks, and share plates. The cocktails are fun and refreshing, the wine list is well chosen, and the beer options keep everyone happy. It’s a place that works whether you’re there for a full meal or just a few drinks with snacks.
The vibe is another highlight. The fit-out is warm and rustic, with exposed brick and cosy corners, while the outdoor area is fantastic in summer. It has that quintessential Richmond feel — relaxed, welcoming, and always buzzing without being overwhelming.
The staff are friendly, attentive, and keep things moving even when it’s busy. You never feel rushed, but you also never feel forgotten, which makes the whole experience easy and enjoyable.
What I love most about The Posty is the consistency. Every visit delivers the same great pizza, the same fun atmosphere, and the same reliable service. It’s one of those venues you can always count on, whether you’re a local or just visiting the area.

🧀 Roasted Halloumi With Smoked Peppers & Hot Honey Crunchy exterior with juicy filling, naturally salty balanced with a kick from pepper & honey.
🧀 Burrata With Garlic Pizza Bread Light & creamy dish, soft burrata texture in contrast to the crusty bread, paired with delicious artichoke and pine nuts. Nice on its own or as a starter.
🔴 Bolognese Arancini With Parmesan and Truffle Mayo Classic arancini balls, fun to eat with nice complement from the perfect level of truffle in the mayo.
🍕 Chili Prawn Pizza & Margherita Pizza The woodfire pizza were legit! The dough was nicely chewy with crispy outer texture. Great amount of toppings to create a perfect bite with every slice.
As the name suggested, this place was converted from a Post Office 💌 Located outside of the Richmond station, the historical landmark was very easy to spot. This is the place to go for a casual meal & drinks with friends or date!

I was excited to visit for the $25 Margherita and margarita Wednesday promo but left feeling a little disappointed. Firstly, I must preface that I’m spoilt in terms of great vegan food around Melbourne and that I am okay paying extra for the vegan options (I’m used to it by now). However, tonight the $4 for vegan cheese was extremely steep for the pizza quality. The cheese tasted like supermarket cheese, which is fine but charging $4 seemed excessive and I didn’t see the value. My non vegan partner had the regular marg and thought it was just okay but possibly we just have high expectations.
Highlight was that the margarita and spicy margarita were some of the best we...
