I’m writing this review having just stepped out of this restaurant as my family and I received the most appalling service we’ve ever experienced.
We were served by a lady called Ash and she was so disrespectful and rude to us. It was my mother in law’s birthday dinner and we brought a cake with us and asked to store in their fridge, so she knew it was a special occasion. Despite this, she was so dismissive and rude throughout the meal which progressively got worse, and when we had finished our dishes and before we could ask for our cake, she brought the dinner bill to us. It was very clear she wanted us to leave asap.
The bill was charged wrong twice which, we pointed out, and when she finally passed the corrected bill to my husband she did so in such a disrespectful way - with one hand while walking past and without a word. Anyone who has visited Thailand as much as my family and I have know that the Thais are the most hospitable people - this clearly does not apply to this establishment.
At this stage in the evening, my family and I were very distressed, and I asked the sever for her name. She told me, and I informed her in a calm way that she had been rude to us all evening. She looked back at me then immediately walked off without a word. My family and I left with a very sick feeling in our stomachs.
No guest warrants this type of treatment, and this situation feels even worse given I chose this restaurant for a special occasion because of the positive reviews. Absolutely taken...
Read moreWent there to celebrate my mum's birthday based on the reviews only to be served by a rude staff (named Ash) with poor attitude. Not even sure what the reason was for such treatment from her from the onset. Some examples of our poor experience: asked what size was the Tom Yum soup was (to decide on portion size) but was rudely interrupted and told that she will advise on what size to get. rolled her eyes at us when we made a change in the order (ehilst shewas still taking dow the orders) to include salt and pepper chicken for our child asked if Thai Milk Tea as shown in menu was iced or otherwise (asked her twice) to which she did not reply at all and ignored us. handed our bill (bill was incorrect twice) to us whilst we were not done with our meal. We assume she wanted us to leave as soon as possible. There were further examples of Ash's rude behaviour but we will move on. When informed her politely that she has been rude, she rolled her eyes and walked away. Cannot understand how a Thai establishment can fail in service standards when Thais are renowned for hospitality. Such a big disappointment. Apart from Ash, the other 2 staff that served us were decent. From this experience, we can only assume the good reviews were derived by the 10% discount promo offered to patrons who review/post and show them the posted content. Will not...
Read moreAs it says, ‘Little Thai Princess’. This petite place may not be as eye catching when driving by, and location is amongst the train station, trams, shops and busy Burke Road and Malvern Road. BUT do not let that discourage you to taste the authentic Thai food. Inside is small with only a few seats but it is worth it. Volcano Seafood, Roti bread, coconut rice, chicken green curry and spicy lamb all shared between 4 guests was enough. If you prefer to go for seconds or thirds, you can always order another serve. Dessert is a must! Coconut and mango ice cream and their pudding was delicious! Bring friends and family to celebrate an event or a casual catch up. The staff are a tad shy but service was at a good pace. ….not slow nor rushed. For many years of driving pass and wondering whether the food will be worth the visit? The answer is I will be definitely going back for more, and...
