My photos really don’t do these banh mi any justice because it was amazing. I’ve heard so many great things about Luke’s I was so excited to find out they also offer vegan rolls. They have two seperate counters, so that the vegan meat and salads won’t be contaminated with the non vegan side. I’m looking forward to trying the other mock meats but the marinated tofu looks especially delicious! The photos show the pork “crackling” vegan option. I was so impressed when I saw this meat come out. I’ve never seen anything like it before. I had real pork crackling and my partner had the vegan version however he shared with me and I think next time I’ll get the vegan option… or the tofu. I'm not vegan but I choose plant based options whenever I can and the Vegan Banh Mi's at Lukes Bakery are AMAZING!! The Vegan 'crackling pork' is out of this world, everything about the way the plant based crackling pork is made is spot on, it looks like it, smells like it and tastes like it, it blows my mind how they even get 2 textures of pork (crackling fatty bit and lean meat bit) to look like the real thing minus the cholesterol!
