Look no further for the best coffee in Kensington. It’s hard to walk past this cafe daily without stopping for a coffee. The roasters are Kensington local, Rumble Coffee Roasters, who take care in ensuring the delivery of their coffee is top notch. And the baristas never fail to uphold their intent either. A short menu of food is prepared in the tiny kitchen, but food is tasty. If busy, be patient and enjoy the contemporary setting with good tunes.

Awesome! Luncheonette is underrated, understated, and shines among the cafés in the area. It's a definite addition to your local Cafe visits. Way better than "the Premises" - a nearby much larger Cafe. You MUST order the Banana Bread. It's around $10 but it's a must have. The Hot Rolls are also very good. They have specials which are usually pretty good. I feel it's got a US influenced menu with Huevo Rancheros etc. Definitely worth a visit.

This place is always busy so I assumed the food would be good however the menu is quite small (not that that's a bad thing) and what I ordered wasn't good at all. I ordered the tuna melt. Unfortunately it's so dry I can't eat it. It was $15 or $14. I can't speak about the atmosphere because I got take away but I can tell you serverice was quick and they were very polite and welcoming. Perhaps I just ordered the wrong thing.

Not sure if it is just me or something is not right, I stopped for a hot chocolate this afternoon (or yesterday, since it is now past midnight) the chocolate tastes quite watery, as if the powder didn't melt in properly.

What's less favorable to me however was that I saw the staff stirred my hot chocolate (in front of me) with a disposable spoon which was sinking inside a cup of grayish coloring water (I assume that spoon was used to stir many different drinks). I am not too fussy about bringing coffee taste in my hot chocolate (though I would've ordered Mocha if I wanted chocolate&coffee) but I'm concerned from a hygiene perspective. I think usually a large hot chocolate would deserve at least one unused disposable spoon. I know a lot of people wouldn't care about this detail but some people do, I do not know how long that disposable spoon has been there for and what's the grayish water about, and I believe as a customer I have the right to express my discomfort. Sorry about this lengthy statement, and I hope the owner would look into these details with more care...

So imagine this. Imagine you come off the train, there's no one in sight. You ask if you can use the bathroom to wash your hands. Sorry it's for paying clients only. Ohhhhhhhh okay we're in Europe now okay sweet here's 25 cents. No no you have to order off the menu. Ohhhhhhhh okay I'll get a long black so that I can actually USE the toilet then when it runs through me. Get the long black turns out they only know what a short black is what can't wait for owner reply we're sorry about your...

It took 45 mins one hour to get a simple scrumbled eggs on toast, and they also forgot to make my friend's sandwich ... The place wasn't crowded at all, just other 2 or 3 people inside. And us. So after one hour waiting my friend had to leave! He ask for it again twice and couldn't eat with me but had to take it away! Food wasn't particularly great (my scrambled eggs especially) but too expensive for what you get, bad service and noisy location because of the train and traffic. So we left not...
