The food is great and the price is good for people living in Melbourne 👍 In overseas Chinese communities in North America, this food can be found in Chinese and Taiwanese restaurants. In Mainland China, a large bowl of it is often taken as a whole meal with or without any side dish. In Taiwan, beef noodle vendors may also have optional, often cold side dishes, such as braised dried tofu, seaweed or pork intestine. Beef noodles are often served with suan cai (Chinese sauerkraut) on top, green onion and sometimes other vegetables in the soup as well. Beef noodles are often served as fast food in mainland China, with Mr. Lee being the largest chain. In Taiwan, it is sometimes considered a national dish and every year Taipei holds an annual Beef Noodle Festival, where various chefs and restaurants compete for the title of the "best beef noodles in Taiwan". Due to influences from the influx of out of province Chinese from mainland China in the early 1900s, the Taiwanese version of beef noodle soup is now one of the most popular dishes in Taiwan

It’s been a long time since I had Lanzhou beer soup in Melbourne. I was looking forward to trying this restaurant and I’m glad I did. The chefs make the noodles to order (you can see them do this right in front of you) the expertise is amazing and exciting. While the menu is simple the food on offer is delicious. For me the braised beef was the best of the bunch, it felt more hearty on a cold winters night. The chilli oil on the table is delicious! Staff were very helpful and accommodating. Went on a Saturday at 7:30pm and could get a table easily. Will return!

Slurpable yummy beef noodle soup in melbourne uni. I visited Master Lanzhou for wed lunch and ordered the braised beef noodle soup to go. Staff were friendly, and the noodles were made fresh to go. I chose the thin noodles, which were nice and slightly chewy. The hot beef soup and tender braised beef really warmed me on a windy day. I chose takeout, but there were plenty of seats in a nicely decorated interior for dine in. There were also many sides to choose from to accompany your meal.

Normally I love Lnazhou noodles, but recently their food has been not good - either lukewarm or cold specifically. I went yesterday and I ordered their numb and spicy noodles. It lukewarm, almost bordering on cold. This should have been my first sign that it was not fresh at all. The following day, I had bad food poisoning which I suspect was from the cold noodles which were meant to be hot. I will think twice about coming here again, but I sincerely hope they get themselves back together and return to a standard of quality similar to when...
