What a stunning venue, parking available just about anywhere. A gorgeous venue inside with everything well maintained. Friendly greetings as we walked in asking if we wanted to dine there and would we be partaking in trivia that night. Well.. yes, why not. The food was quite lovely with some Australian and Irish classics on the menu. The Irish stew was wonderful with only one small improvement they could make but that's a very subjective opinion so no points taken away for that. The medium steak came out rare though which does raise the eyebrow. Desserts and Entrees were generally fantastic.

Side note: get the Arancini balls.

The trivia on the night only added to the wonderful vibe of the pub, slightly sectioned off from the punters who were only there for a drink or food, yet friendly enough to have some good banter with the other tables around. The trivia was hosted by an external company but they had good rapport with the bar staff. The staff at the pub were excellent. Should you go there?...

Great location, but having had a meal there, reckon there’s room for improvement. The staff were fantastic, very attentive and fun! The menu has nailed it, although having had the curry, which had lots of flavour, it needs more of the sauce(and chicken). My son had bangers and mash(which is what it should be named in the menu), which needs a bigger serving of mash and the gravy needs some tweaking. I’d also suggest a small blog in the front of the menu about the history of the pub and it’s owners. People love that. Loved the trad session happening in the front bar, but wished the background music was turned off while they were playing. I’d love to see more of a mix of high tables and lower tables throughout, to give it a more authentic Irish pub feel. Missing one big addition outside though - a giant flagpole holding the tri-colour. All in all, we’d a great time and would be...

Perfect 👌 Delicious 😋 Customer service with a smile, always happy, kind, I've been enjoying the $11 lunch specials and going through the list to try them all out. Every meal is perfect 🥰, piping hot straight from the stove to the table and the meals stay hot throughout eating them. I've been to other places and the meals go warm, but at Mc'Daids all meals I've had actually stay hot hot until I finish eating them. I can't even pick a favourite as every specials I've had has been amazing full of flavours and tasty. But you should definitely try their seafood chowder OMG 😲 you'll think your in heaven, I could eat a saucepan full of it. The Linguine Carbonara so delightful, creamy, flavours smooth 😋 to eat. If I had a car I'd go daily, at $11 specials lunch menu, you can't beat that. I'm crossing off each special amd...

From the moment we walked in, the friendly and welcoming atmosphere of McDaid's Irish Pub was evident. The staff were very attentive and helpful with all things pertaining to the menu, including suggested drink choices. The food was well presented and at very reasonable prices. The menu items ranged from traditional Irish fare to mainstream options, including a children's menu option. I cannot recommend McDaid's Irish Pub highly enough for a great night out on the Mornington Peninsula. The dining area was comfortable complete with open fire for what was a very wintery evening. My thanks to the proprietors and staff at McDaid's for a wonderful experience. They even allowed me to play their piano - nothing was too much trouble.

We visited McDaids Irish Pub on the way back from a long day of sightseeing, and had quite an appetite. We were glad we chose McDaids, as a filling pub meal was exactly what we wanted. The toilets were not in good condition, and are hidden away upstairs and down two corridors. The atmosphere was exactly what one would expect from an Irish pub. The barman even had an Irish accent, which was appreciated. The curry sauce chicken parmigiana was an experiment but one with a successful outcome. I would visit again for the food, beer and atmosphere.

The pub environment is nice, staffs were friendly. For food, we ordered Seafood Pasta, Seafood Chowder and Grilled Ribs. The first two were good/ok (3 stars) but the Grilled Ribs was 0 star. I ate it only because I am strongly against food waste, but honestly it was not easy. It was too sweet, like a cake. It was not fresh at all, not sure if it was even grilled or what process was used to cook it, that didn't have a texture any close to meat texture. That potato type texture plus that level of sweetness made me having an awful experience.
